Can't find it now but there was mention on here a while back about the DB4 GT owned by Peter Sellars and driven by him in the film 'The Wrong Arm of the Law'. The October issue of Octane magazine carries a feature on this car - just in case anyone here is interested.

Not seen the article, but I think it's for sale at Sotheby's in September, isn't it?

It makes a nice change to see one with it's bumpers still on.

Wouldn't surprise me, all part of the PR campaign to get it featured in car magazines.

Beautiful car and a much loved film...

Does anyone know how long Sellers kept it..? He rarely kept any of his cars for very long.

Doesn't say in the feature when Sellers sold it, but it has had 'various' owners and once spent 15 years in New Zealand; and yes, the car is to be auctioned by Sothebys on 5th September. A second DB4 GT was also used in the filming for some of the 'high speed shots' - this was registered 40 MT; all according to Octane of course . . .

40 MT still exists as well.

How it looked in the mid-1980's

And how it looked about 5 years ago after being turned into yet another 'fake racer' rolleyes

40 MT is owned by Adrian Newey, I think.

I can see why you'd take those bumpers off though, they're quite ugly.

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I prefer the front with the bumper on, that lower air intake just looks wrong otherwise.

Yes I agree with you too. A few blokes have said to me "Take the bumpers off!" (with ref my TR6) but I think it looks a lot better with them on.

Even if, according to Spike Milligan, he had already given it to a friend.

A bog standard DB4 was used for the bridge scene
41 DPX was used for the majority of the film
40 MT was used for final shots after its engine blew up during filming (41DPX)
