Drove back from work last night the country way. Snowplow just beat me to the snow.

Hope your Rangie has decent tyres on it! wink

Where was that?

Very cold this morning, at around -5. Yesterday's snow hadn't melted, so it just froze meaning side roads were pretty slippy. Up further north around Tarbet/Arrochar/A82 this morning and the roads are fine. All side roads have a good covering of frozen snow though!

We had one of those nasty.. rain, freeze, snow mornings (NW Highlands).

My driveway and turn on to the main road at the top had to be done in one... there was no stopping without returning backwards to square 1!

Snow in Lancashire today. Maybe an inch on the car, but the surrounding countryside is like someone's thrown a blanket over it.

Tempted to take the dog for a walk this afternoon and work late tonight to make the time up.

Serious comment - keep a few bags of sand/grit/ice in the garage to deal with that. There's a couple of turns in my neighborhood that are equally nasty under those conditions and have to be approached very carefully indeed.

Roads were lethal round here around 9am. Freezing temps and then a light drizzle and it froze like sheet ice.

I almost went arse over tit walking across the road into work today where run off had frozen. Luckily we have a salt bin just outside as it's a hospital.

Less cold weather after a sharp frost tonight. Then the cold air returns on Sunday. Strong chance of snowy showers from the North - so East coast most likely to see snow.

We remain in play for a proper cold episode, but the dice aren't quite loaded yet.

naaa, that's it now for this year. One or two days of snow just so the winter tyre bores can educate us and that's it. Roll on summer.

(maybe)

It's a private road to my house (in a forest below). There are some other houses in the forest, but they are just summer holiday homes, so we have the place to ourselves most of the year.

Appears quite localised around West Staffordshire. My area is a white out, yet a few miles down the road it's clear, travel another few miles and it all goes white again. Roads are all clear though.

Down on the outskirts of Brum, I identified one binned Q2, one binned Fiesta and the Highway Wombles clearing a fluid spillage on the M6, obviously suggesting some more binnage had been going on.

Heading from London to the deepest, darkest interior of Suffolk tomorrow morning.

Forecast says a light dusting of snow. As I'm a Londoner I'll probably end up upside down in a ditch somewhere outside of Halesworth.......

I was very impressed, and took you for an owner yourself. Congratulations on your new SC 5.0. I think they're fantastic cars and will be updating my V8 diesel this coming summer.....something with a gearstick and 5 litres might be on the cards. smile
