I’m following the Tour Divide mountain bike race, and someone’s posted a picture of Steamboat Springs under 10 inches os snow!!!! The riders are reporting temperatures below 0!

That's Colorado for you. This time last year it was the complete opposite - bone dry conditions and loads of wildfires. Our house was pretty close to getting burned to the ground during one of them.

I woke up to this around 0700 and it's snowing even more right now.

Saw on one of the lightning tracker apps that there were a few strikes that way, but if I closed and reopened the app, they'd sometimes dissappear.

I'm sure there was at least a flash of lightning Derby way not long ago, definitely followed by thunder, so I'm hoping something is setting up round here, thundery showers are forecast till midday from now anyway.

Nothing since though, which is really annoying me.

yes

I'm up the road, near Halesworth. Driving into town in the Forester at lunchtime was more akin to power boating! yikes
