Back to the UK; looks like we are to get some warm'ish wet and a good blow from the Atlantic this coming week rather than all this blocking pattern boringness.
Portuguese have called it Diana
More serious than I understood then if it has a name.

Is Diana the 4th being "D" and do all countries use the same naming convention? Interested to know how far down the alphabet it has ever got.

Good - we need the rain to wash all the salt off the roads - I hate this time of year, I wash the cars and they're filthy again within a few miles.

This is their own naming convention - but if a storm is previously named elsewhere, we never rename it.

Having had a look.....If we had named it, it would be called "Deirdre". The 2017-18 season got to "H" / "Hector".

If anyone's hoping for more cold weather in South Wales, sorry, my fault... I bought a new, expensive, pair of gloves this morning. It was getting quite warm outside by the time I got home...

There isn't any in Lapland currently! I'm sure that will change by then.

...and I've probably stopped any chance of snow in the south east by putting the winter tyres on frown

Bit blustery in north Essex on the walk home from work this evening. Is this a taster of the next few days?
