The Beast from the East was an Amber warning for the Peak District....... A red warning would certainly require a hat.

Had to put the central on last winter during the Beast. Boiler had such a shock it gave up.

I’ve beers on Saturday night at a mates but the gf is a bit worried about weather conditions.

Saturday... a complete mess. Low pressure to our NW. Cold to our east.

It's a very very tricky forecast. For most it will end up as cold rain. For the unlucky it will be freezing rain - very dangerous for a short period of time.

For a few it will be snow. Might be mixed in with ice then rain.

Bitterly cold this morning. Thick frost everywhere, but clear as a bell. Think it's going to be a cold bright day.

Tomorrow afternoon looks interesting, but we'll see...
