And this is why it's so complicated and 'on the line' all the time:

Where in the world would be the best place to live for the most accurate weather guessing forecasting?
Not for the best weather, but the best weather forecasting.
Middle of a big land mass? Small island in the middle of a big ocean?

Middle of a big land mass - very predictable.

NOT on the edge of a land mass with an ocean constantly sending variable winds at you hehe

Lost the snow since moving sadly. We got a little bit a few days ago but waiting for the proper stuff to arrive at some point.

What happened?

Did you fall over?

Trying to remain grounded and not ramp, but.... there are charts out there showing brutal cold and exceptionally snowy conditions for the end of Jan.

Nothing certain yet - high probability, but some nuances with some charts (minority of them) would lead to less severe conditions.

Not getting any of the downgrades at the moment, just up, up, up...

All depends on what you call "brutal" , minus 15 here today dropping to 28 tonight . No sign of rain wink

Could someone tell the bloke on that ride to shut up?

He is exactly the sort of person that gets Americans a bad name.

It's been snowing but not settling in the capital village of Luxembourg today.
It's forecast to continue for the next couple of hours, but it's 3C and wet on the ground, so it won't last.

I'm floating around the north coast between Aberdeen and Inverness the next couple of days. Any chance of hitting snow in a hilarious cheap hire car? Weather forecast seems inconclusive...

If you want to hit snow, then travel from Aberdeen to Inverness via the A944, then A939, A95 and then A9. Unless the A939 is closed again.

Inland Speyside has snow now - Glenfiddich, Aberlour and Glenallachie posted photos with some earlier today.

Too far out to call individual areas - but no one should fear lack of snow from what is currently showing.

I know and understand it’s too far out but... I’m secretly excited that I won’t be driving to my place of work if this comes true.

Snow to rain possible tomorrow, much of inland Wales, Midlands and maybe East Anglia. Other places too perhaps.

Next Tuesday is on the line - fine margins at play.

Then...? Beast from the East territory. An amazingly strong and cold wind appearing on GFS and ECM models for following weekend. Obviously way outside reliable time frame.

Not going to get excited till I'm knee deep in the white stuff. Snow, not coke obvs.

Very chilli here in Mk. Let the dog out for toilet and cold hear the frost grass crunching.
