Smoking on tubes.
Unfortunately I remember the tragedy at Kings Cross station (which I used regularly at the time) caused by the combination of these.
Yep, I go past the memorial quite often.

Seeing my first colour tele at my mate's house. His parents had bought it for the first colour televised Wimbledon tennis.

I'll never forget seeing the green of centre court for the very first time. They'd turned the colour knob (remember knobs on tv's?) up to the max.

I remember when Lesley Judd was the new girl on Blue Peter. I was shocked when she recently appeared on a program about John Noakes. “Who’s that old woman?”

Seeing my first computer game which was Atari Pong back in the 70s. My wee simple mind was blown at the revolutionary technology since i was used to playing marbles and board games.

Having said that, my eldest old son can't get his head around the fact that I'm old enough to have lived in 5 different decades, 2 different centuries and 2 different millennia.
But only one reigning monarch ?
Ahem ...... 8 decades and two monarchs ( see earlier post)

I've lived in the lifetime of 2 monarchs, but only the reign of one.

You had me puzzled there, but I guess you're referring to the Duke of Windsor ?

Yes, though come to think of it I'm also living in the lifetime of King Charles, King William and King George, though I doubt I'll be around for George's accession.

No, four.
To have lived during the reigns of four monarchs you'd have to have been born before 20 January 1936 which makes you 82 at least. Congratulations ! (Assuming of course that we're talking about British monarchs ... Google tells me that there are currently 26 monarchies around the world).

I remember when England / Britain / Wales / Scotland / Eire / Ireland / Free State / Ulster / Norn Ireland WASN'T in the EU.

I remember my Mum telling my Dad what a bad idea it was he'd voted to join the EU.

Then I went back to watching John Craven on Newsround, Space Shuttles blowing up, Gordon the Goffer, Diana getting married and dying, Phillipa Forrester being my childhood "wish I was 20 years older I'd nail her" babe and life passing by, until a few weeks ago......

........my Mum telling my Dad what a bad idea it was he'd voted to leave the EU.

OK, what was it called in those days, come on I was knee high to a grasshopper. Maybe I can't actually remember when then! Was it the Common Market? Europe? Eastern front?
