To all Tims, do you keep getting called Tom as well?
For all my life, someone will call me Tom at least once a week - even people who have known me for years.
It's OK - I've learnt to deal with this - but feel free to set up a crowdfund if you want to help.

It's just one of those things now, but I wonder if Tom's get called Tim scratchchin

Are there any other names that regularly get confused with similar sounding names?

My name is Duncan.

Since ever I left my home village 34 years ago, each week someone has called me Gordon.

The frequency increased between 2007 and 2010.

I sometimes get called Justin for some reason. I've been called Adrian on a few occasions too.

Quite strange!

My name is Paolo and usually I'll get called Pablo or people will spell my name as Paulo.

Also, for some reason native Italians will call me Paul rather than my real name. Always found that bizarre.

You have a strong accent by any chance?

I am Dan which occasionally means I get called Dave, Darren or on one very confusing occasion, Peter!

My name is Kieran, which ok isn't the most common of name and can be spent differently, but sometimes I say my name and people think I'm a Stuart, which I still can't work out wobble

G/f is Sara, but sometimes gets called Sarah - bizarrely, mostly by a few members of her close family.
