Watching Tipping point, a question about poet Mathew Arnold's poem Thyrsis and his "Dreaming spires", bought back memories of a romantic drunken evening, two chaps enjoying a few beers and a meal!!!! cloud9

So been to the hospital and still none the wiser. Now have to wait to have something removed and then tested to see what it actually is. Ahhh the fun of wasting a day off work for that.

Depends on what it is i guess, if it's not cancerous then it's just removing the item from the surface, if it is cancerous then i s'pose it's a case of finding out how long it's been there and if it's spread internally or just grown out.

We shall see.

The old mantra of "Hope for the best, plan for the worst" is often the best approach. Good luck mate.

Pretty much what i've been doing so far, hoping it's nothing but expecting it to be worst case scenario. As i said to Mrs Slopes, if i think the worst and it isn't, then it's a result. If i expect the best and it turns out to be the worst possible case, then i"ll be crushed mentally.

Anyway, enough of the doom & gloom unless it's needed.

The Doom & Gloom? We're still using The Pelican or The Bell & Leper.

None of us like the atmosphere in The Doom & Gloom.

Saw them live at The Dome in Doncaster and that is small as venues go. Was a fantastic night.

I’m with you Slopey. I smell a bit musty having not been to work proper for 3 weeks but I’m here. You will be too.

Daytime sleeping and daytime TV has become so routine I feel I can look Bobbers in the eye now.

Ahh my young padawan, you still have much to learn, the ability to start anything but fall asleep in the middle of it takes years of practice, dedication, self abuse and many years of early states to master!!!
