I'll post a pic when I've finished them off, still need to do the fiddly bits around the stripes and lettering.
They're looking a bit patchy so far and the navy blue looks a bit brighter than I expected!
I used Fiebing dye.
Got a link to the product youve used? Stupid question but it does say suede dye on the box? They're looking a bit patchy so far and the navy blue looks a bit brighter than I expected!

When i did mine, i worked from outside in, did bits with a paint brush first then used the ball thing. You can try using a rubber suede brush to blend it all in as well. Also, im assuming that you cleaned them first?

I cleaned the suede first too, with a brush and with foam cleaner. I'm not done yet but here's an idea of progress

You might need a pot of blue and gold paint
Blue paint for the edges where the glue might be for the sole/suede interaction
Gold and a toothpick for the lettering.
I'd do the paintbrush stuff first then the main bits with an overlap otherwise the edges will become darker than the main larger sections.
Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs and part of the fun is the learning experience.
Some of the 'pro' restorers unglue the shoe then reglue it, redo the letter embossing etc or they unboss it and put whatever you want on etc

That's good advice, cheers. Will do that next time. Blue paint for the edges where the glue might be for the sole/suede interaction

Can categorically say I'm not going to be going over any lettering in gold paint though, just don't have the time.
I have to say I'm disappointed in how quickly these faded though. I've had suede trainers from a variety of brands but none have faded as badly as these.

How long are we talking? I have adidas pairs that are 4+ years old that have not faded one bit!Can categorically say I'm not going to be going over any lettering in gold paint though, just don't have the time.

Have they got wet? How do you store them?
