It won't be haha. Nike's QC is in the toilet and has been for a few years now. I can see it happening on GR but it's madness they allow it on very limited drops.
Whats more crazy is how poor some of the QC is on Nike ID/ Nike by you. You would think when making one pair of shoes they should be perfect
The regulars will be fedup with me thumping this particular tub, but there's a good (imo) reason why my sneakers threshold is around the 80-90 quid mark.
That is, I have stuff from the likes of Merrell, Scarpa and Salomon. At the same price points, they blow anything from Nike, Adidas etc out of the water.
The quality is simply on another level and make trainers from other manufacturers look like overpriced tat.
Doesn't stop me buying them tho!

The brands you have mentioned are designed for performance/function. Very few of them look good! Often the likes of Nike and adidas produce a shoe that looks good and performs. Edited by TheJimi on Wednesday 23 October 13:31
Boost, Jordans (non retro), ZX series, Dunk SB ...
You're both missing my point.
You both mentioned aesthetics in response to me talking about quality. What's aesthetics got to do with lower quality?
There's no reason, imo, why Nike, for example, can't produce similar quality stuff that also is aesthetically pleasing.
Given the economies of scale, the big manufacturers should be churning out equivalent quality stuff, especially at the prices they're charging.
They're not though and that sticks in my craw a bit.
Don't get me wrong, I accept that to an extent, which is why I keep buying stuff, but as I say, it annoys me.

I only really buy adidas and the quality is pretty good for a product that they make 5000+ of. Some models seem better made than others and it's not only the limited or colab stuff that they seem to be better on. Oyster holdings x adidas are amazing quality with good packaging also. I have a random pair of sns x Karhu they are very good quality also. You both mentioned aesthetics in response to me talking about quality. What's aesthetics got to do with lower quality?

I get what you are saying though and I never spend more than £100 on a pair. I have 1 pair of Jordan and the suede on my gazelles is nicer!

Converse have rubber toe caps. Do you like those?
They based on desert boots. The French foreign legion used to wear them.
Far rarer and cooler than Converse IMO.
Nope, I dislike converse also, adidas make a shoe called the nizza which also has a similar detail, just something about it seems odd to me! They based on desert boots. The French foreign legion used to wear them.

Because they're Adidas?
Haha! Maybe because I know a bit about them?! They are a chunky shoe so the chunky 'shell toe' isn't out of place, it also has some shape to it as opposed to the flat bland converse toe. I doubt I would ever buy a pair of superstars though! I actually owned a pair of converse when I was in my teens, never really wore them much.
