I try to read lots of different news sources, and I am not remotely a 'leftie'. Having said that I am admittedly a bit out of touch with UK politics as I am not there very much and find it a bit tedious.

I am slightly Left leaning (think Blair level, not Corbyn) and in all honesty I believe they are fairly impartial regarding who they critique politically. They did a piece a while back on Corbyns failings, if he'd read it he'd probably top himself!

I don’t think that that I can be accused of that, so no, I’m neither the new Yipper, nor the old one in a new guise.

Once again I get thrown a curve ball, and have to resort to “Search.”
It would appear from Johnny’s remark about blue lights and yellow lights, and from what “Search” brought up, that the guy was a cop.
I almost said, “One of London’s finest”, but that of course describes the Capital’s Black Cab drivers, plus maybe Derek did his sleuthing elsewhere.
On the assumption that Derek told some interesting life stories, I can only hope that mine are almost as interesting.

Actually Frank, it's probably not a fair comparison, as you appear to have a sense of humour.

Derek was a policeman in Sussex I think. You should ask him about it.

They are always selling dogs between 3 - 9 months

They seem to get them, you see them around, then they get bored

Puppy goes up for sale again looking for it’s “forever home”

Rinse and repeat

You'd need to have a licence to own or breed a dog.
If you were caught selling a dog, short of it biting one of you, then you're banned from owing again for life.

Indeed. I always feel sad for Staffs, the types they often attract. Despite their rep I've never met one which is anything other than lovely.
