HOLY fk! Uber council. I have been here quite a few times before, being a seafarer and all, but I had forgotten just how council it is here. I just took a short walk from my (council) hotel to get some (council) beers. I had to use an underpass straight out of 'Harry Brown' and the small area I ended up in was total, total council.

Oh, and here is the view out of the window at dinner tonight:

Council hellhole!
Way too much green stuff to be totally council.
I've seen worse, much worse .

Poor doors. There’s a very good reason they exist in mixed tenure developments: I’m guessing this is a London thing anyway.

Tenants, on the whole are incapable of going anywhere without leaving a trail of filth behind them.

Or supervising their children.

Or thinking or others and the consequences of their actions.

Imagine you blow £2 m on some flat in London and then destiny moves in next door on universal credit ?

From glancing at the article I thought they were closing the massive Waitrose by Bromley South but it's just the tiny one at Sunridge Park, tbh I'm surprised anyone used it as the whole area surrounding is council.

That's why I'd never consider a new build housing development, one of my friends live in Elephant and Castle in a new block of flats and it's steadily become more council with the tenants over the past year to the point that the whole place stinks of weed.
Lots of the apartments have been sublet on Airbnb to pop up brothels so people come and go all times of the night.
Luckily she's renting so is looking further afield for the next place but it must be devastating for those who have purchased.

You can’t polish a turd. But you can roll it in glitter, and then flush it down your matching lavatory.

Just out of shot, is an entrepreneur, charging £25 a pop for having your photo taken with a Waitrose bag, a bit like a photo with Santa for kids at big stores at Christmas time.

What’s worse is that it reads like they only have one toilet! The horror!

I know someone who can't work due to an injury. Won't claim benefits and is waiting to find out if an operation might fix it.
Would do anything to be fixed. Apart from.sell.the house.

You missed the missing apostrophe; double extra points for that.
