Different endz fam.

ETA: Oh and I once again potentially nominate myself for being council. I drink too many ice coffees.

Are ice coffees council?

When I lived in Ilford I used to get infuriated by the people who would insist on calling that road Green Lanes, like there were two of them. Why? I can only think it was council.
Probably because of this

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Green+Lanes,+Lon...

And there are others in London too.
Don’t jump down my throat, but the one in Ilford IS Green Lane, the one pictured, in Finsbury Park and Harringay is Green Lanes though.
I'm aware of the difference. I was offering it as a suggestion as to why people might 'mis-say' Green Lane, what with Green Lanes being a very well-known London route.

Shudder, makes me glad that I live in relatively chav free deepest darkest Rotherhithe, where even when nutty Millwall fans kick off, I feel that it’s a lot safer than wherever Atherstone is.
Never heard of Rotherhithe, Frank. Is that anywhere near Rotherham?
SE London according to Google.
And they have a tunnel under the Thames. Or at least they did last time I used it. Thankfully.

Calling ASDA or Tesco "ASDAs or Tescos" - Council.

Nothing compared to Pipps Hill ASDA though wink
If he was in Bas Vegas, that is probably the ASDA he visited.

Agreed Matt, but Americans do that a lot on domestic flights.
That’s up to them, but they can’t all live in the “projects.”
I don’t think that they do it so much to applaud the pilots, they’re
probably applauding God for returning them to terra firma, alive.

You don’t have to be from the projects to be council, have the last 30000+ posts taught you nothing??!

Duly noted, I can see it now, but in my defence, I only came in about 999 posts ago, but you’re right, I should have realised that being council is not restricted to council estate dwellers.

Good times. biggrin

I was Junior Doc on rotation at Basildon Hospital (about 10 years ago) so we often would go out to Bas Vegas (I think the nightclub was Liquid), but typically on a Thursday night. Actually quite good fun tbh. I believe on a Fri/Sat night Liquid joined with Envy and Chicagos and a ticket gave you access to all three.

I worked in A&E there for a year, Friday/Saturday nights were certainly very busy. Lot of the usual faces week in week out. Police called quite a few times.

You got that right, I took a job from Fenchurch Street to Basildon late one Saturday night, and only went into McDonalds for a slash, came out to this.

Nah, that's the local custom in Basra. Yank on the old handie then it's off for your cheeky nandos or join the queue for aroma.

People who think they can do their own Architectural drawings to not spend a couple of grand up front, yet it's a fraction of their build cost. Council.
