A bit council (Vol 4)

Never wear a football shirt, especially when not flying to watch your team. That’s maximum council.
Genuine question - and one I'm pondering: Would you fly to a GrandPrix wearing a team shirt? Not that I wear any particular F1 team Tshirts - but I don't think I'd have a problem with it (maybe with the exception of Ferrari merchandise).

Flying from Liverpool at 6 am on Monday to Malaga = Council
EasyJet = Council
Hand luggage only = Council
Don’t care as a flight to Spain for £23.00 is not to be missed, and I will spend a week in the old town soaking up Spanish culture.
Why is hand luggage only council?EasyJet = Council

I went to Warsaw recently, to celebrate an ex’s birthday, out Friday, back Monday, I took 3 shirts, 3 pairs of underpants, 4 pairs of socks, another pair of shoes, two pair of trousers in addition to the chinos I wore to travel in, plus toiletries.
Only needed hand luggage, and it fitted neatly in an overhead locker.
Arriving at 09.00 for a 10.15 flight out of Heathrow, was a shade too early for me to have a vodka, but I managed a couple on board, drinking before 11.00 a.m. is council as I see it.

I work in Gibraltar, and fly from Manchester at around 8am to Gibraltar or Malaga.
On Easyjet.
With hand-luggage only.
And I work in gaming.
Where's my tattooed 40 year old slapper with big hoopy earrings? I've earned it.

I hereby claim this thread as my own.
The other day I went bingo.
And no, I don’t mean I went to the bingo because that’s not how you say it.
You don’t go to the bingo, you “go bingo” & I went bingo, and I liked it.
When I first started dating my now wife she took me to Mecca Bingo in Gateshead and I won £10k ... My annual salary at the time was £19k ... We went back a couple of times after that but I won nothing other than a couple of small appliances and a Wheely trolley suitcase The other day I went bingo.

Bingo can be awesome

Motorsport is always just naff.
Especially if it's motorbikes.

Nope. Motorsport clothing is even worse than football, IMO. A football shirt (if an older shirt) can be either somewhat fashionable or somewhat ironic

Football stuff is 100% council, even if you're going to football - which is just as council as it gets.Motorsport is always just naff.

Motorsport stuff isn't council - as you say it's just naff. We were in Reims the weekend of the Belgian GP and saw quite a lot of the F1 crowd about and oh dear they looked sad. I guess I should just embrace it but oh dear it looks sad. I say this as the owner of 8 Rossi replica helmets - so I'm not sure where I think the naffness line has been crossed.

Totally agree. Motorsport branded clothing unless you are a team member is far worse than a football shirt. Not council but beyond cringe.Motorsport is always just naff.

edit: Just realised I am currently wearing a Radio Le Mans t-shirt. In my defence though, I am working at home today

Whenever I see those modern massively logo'd motorsport team shirts I can't think of anyone other that tubby short arse TV baker and mid-life crisis fan, Paul Hollywood.
He loves them because they shout 'HEY PEASANT, I'VE MADE IT AND GOT A DB9!' whilst simultaneously leaving his wife for a younger model and being all-round cringeworthy.
He's not Council, but he is a bit of a smug tool.

I'm not really into modern F1 so an academic question. I do have a retro Le Mans shirt but that's a cotton fashion item as opposed to a polyester football shirt.
