Fareham. Council.

At least her mum isn’t going to have to worry about teenage pregnancy I guess.
And we're not going to have to worry about funding her pension.

Shame about alll the benefits she's going to use up till her 50's though.

The best comment I have seen on tis story is this:

"Rather than expose her to the press, the parents and the school could sort her a made to measure uniform, and maybe try and help her lose some weight as at 14 she is heading in the wrong direction to live a healthy life. And don’t plaster it on Facebook etc."

I feel some genuine sadness at this story

You've had a red card? What for?
It’s probably better to say nothing, and let it die a natural death, but like a whole slew of alleged wrongdoers from time immemorial, I didn’t feel that I was guilty of what I was cited for, but I accepted it, took it on the chin, and will try to self censor in future.
You didn't take the long route again did you ? laugh
Welcome back though. I wondered where you'd gone !

Just more contemporary attention wes, expecting others to fund their lifestyle.

Her Insta username, her website, her constant flow of rhetoric-filled memes... all just one big look-at-me.

'Off-grid parenting'... as long as we all chip in for her very much on-grid electricity, phone, internet connection, web presence etc.

I actually respct them.'

I was reading about why there is such a prevalence of autoimmune diseases in first world countries over third world, and it looks like we are just eating too clean. We live in bleached homes. I actually think if you have a family all chemicals should be banned, use natural only, it is getting ridicoulus and end result is not what we expect...

Yep, these types tend to come back 'on-grid' pretty quickly if anything serious goes wrong.

Agree with your point but I suspect they are closer to the anti-vaccines end of the spectrum rather than refraining from using antibacterial wipes all over the home when you have kids..

I read a bit more about them.

Very anti vaccination, like to state they live life 'differently', don't do a 9-5 job etc, etc.

Then you come across nuggets like this:

'We also rely partly on some benefits including housing benefit, child benefit and child tax credit.'

'We don’t have a TV but do have computers. We get by shopping a lot at budget stores out of necessity but this does not imply that we agree with their ethics as businesses.' (Even though they are 'off grid')

'We are in debt like much of the country including student loans and overdraft and do our best to pay back what we can afford.'

'We don’t have inheritance, trust funds and savings to draw upon so we have started a crowdfunding campaign through http://www.fundmytravel.com to help us become self-sufficient and in return we intend to build a business which shares advice and knowledge to help others do the same.

Oh right. You lecture others on how to live, but you are asking for money. hehe

Interesting sounding medical remedy:

Eye infection: Breast milk squirted into the eye directly. eek

Shooting fish in a barrel.
I hope one of the kids rebels against their upbringing and becomes a multi millionaire, underpaying their staff and squishing the competition. Sort of.

Quite right, I belong to the ‘climb trees, build dens / tree houses, get cuts and grazes, eat dirt, learn why eating dirt, and not worrying about cuts and grazes, isn’t a great idea the hard way’ generation. I very rarely get anything like colds and the such like. I think there is far too much paranoia about stuff, of late. Probably driven by companies who make cleaning stuff.
