That is the best beach weather, the sea always feels warmer. Where are you West coast of France somewhere?
scratchchin Or East Coast of France? wink
That made me check then for a schoolboy error. wink ... I suppose there is that smokey lake where Swiss time was running out.

Could have been the North coast or the Riviera in the South, Pug is afterall is an international man of mystery who often travels. I reckon he works for MI6.

Anyway, after the cool and refreshing Autumn chills of yesterday evening and this morning, normal summer business has resumed, sadly.

Much nicer in France today. Colin, I used to have a gold card, now merely silver. Far less travel.

I had to wear a jacket out to lunch today. That's a properly rare event in summer. I know Colin's liking it, but this is just oppressive bordering on depressing really.

It is a bit soggy and my trusty thermometer is currently showing 16.6c.

But it is character building and you can always put a jumper on unlike the heat where the only option is to get naked and arrested.

Liam Dutton has suggested that a typhoon moving over Japan and east Russia might cause the jet stream to temporarily shift north of the UK, bringing high pressure and a return of summer for the end of August.
Or it might not.

We have a housewarming BBQ this weekend, I have JUST spent money I didnt want to on a sizeable gazebo for the garden. I imagine the forecast for London will dramatically improve forthwith

You're officially my favourite poster.

This is exactly how I feel, especially the being naked and arrested part, amplified because I'm a teacher...albeit we're often on holiday during sticky sack season.

Signs of a definite improvement towards the BH weekend. We arrived in France to 30 degree heat for our travel day and it looks like we'll return just as it comes back. Weather hasn't been bad like in the UK, but not good enough for the beach. 26 tomorrow, for our son's birthday, so a one day warm up!

Ironically, we re-scheduled the work cricket trip in Southampton to tomorrow. When it's also throwing it down in the evening. Proper sods law stuff, that!

Just started raining here (Thames Valley / East Berks) and looking at the radar does not look as if it is going to stop until tomorrow !

As much as I am enjoying this coolness, I'm not a monster and do feel sorry for those on holiday, especially those who are camping.

Well at last things are looking up! Lucky really as I'm off to the Ardennes on Friday.

Weather forecast for France/Belgium for Friday. Puggit and family will be driving home on Thursday after a cool and sometimes extremely wet holiday. Make your own conclusions irked
