Nothing ever happens in Milton Keynes.

Even the cows are unmoved.

Weather here (south Oxon) has been interesting today. Warm sunshine, barrel loads of rain and wind enough to put trees over.

The Guns of Naverone were blew a force 10 from Naverone, Alistair MacLean would have been proud. Unlike my next door neighbours fence which became a casualty of the onslaught.

It is nicer today in contrast with only spud-gun levels of blowy. A pleasant 22c and mostly cloudy as well, perfect.

..and today, there's two streams of "interesting" weather either side of us in MK, but we've been in the gap all day.

Lovely and warm down on the south coast now, breezy still but nothing like yesterday (50mph+ winds).

I've just got back from a bike ride. That didn't go round us, absolutely soaked and it was lovely cool and refreshing. Looks like more is incoming as well off that stream (the lower one) of showers.

Went to Wicksteed Park with the kids and got caught in the top band. Pissed it down for an hour and a half. Had to buy a wky poncho.

I'm down-and-right-a-bit from Worcester so one of those red bits passed just to the south of us. Few decent cracks, some flashes, and a decent dump of rain.
Friday, however, I left the door open on my (door-facing-exactly-due-south) greenhouse confident that the only time I'd previously had damage was gusting 70mph+. Nope...6 panes out, three smashed. Reported gust max 38mph. Silly me.

3rd small storm of the day hitting us in France. At least it's 25 degrees in between.

Not beach weather though frown

That is the best beach weather, the sea always feels warmer. Where are you West coast of France somewhere?

I was out for an hour on the 80's racer for an hour earlier, a Peugeot of all things, and there was a nice Autumnal chill in the air. Coupled with all the storm debris everywhere from the weekend it really did feel like Autumn.

biggrin

We are 3 hours from the sea. But the village has a lake with proper sandy beach, life guards and even a water slide.

As residents we get free access smile
