yes I'm planning a big birthday weekend next August BH, but now looking at September weekends as there's absolutely no chance of two in a row. frown

Sit-rep Maidenhead 15:30 hours...

31.8c on the garden thermometer.

Absolutely horrible, a horribly hot sunny horror show. Filthy.

I'm very overweight and I just went for a run in it . Garmin recorded average of 30 degrees.

That was the mistakiest mistake in the history of making mistakes.

33.4c here now !

I'm going to have to go out the garage soon to help my son change one of the wishbones on his Pug 206. Sticky, dusty horror show that is going to be.

I think I've acclimatised over the last few weeks. It was over 30 degrees where I was working but I didnt take much notice of it. Going to miss this nice weather once it's gone for another year. Been lucky in that over the last 2 months I've generally been where the best weather has been. I've hardly seen rain.

It’s been a bit warm in Bedfordshire today! The car was reading 34.5 at 3:45pm on my way back from Cambridge, and the thermometer in the flat seems to be stuck on 32.3..... I’m melting and I’m sitting in front of 2 fans.

This summer has been very odd. Never really seemed to get going. Certainly not like last yeast which was wall to wal sun. But the hotest day ever, hotest August bank holiday weekend day ever and hotest late august BH Monday. We ve had 3 periods of 30+ degrees for a few days, bookended with rain and beige weather.

When it has been hot it's been too hot.

Went and carried out salvage today for our Scout Group after Reading Festival. Wife and I managed an hour out there before we had to give in to the heat.

Collected 23 chairs and 9 tents smile

Storms tonight in the far SW - more widespread and possibly severe over the east tomorrow.

Final scorcher, then it turns pleasant!

It is kicking off.

Just North of London and East at the moment looking at the radar.

The Sun has gone in here and it is murking over. Big towering thunderheads to the East'ish which are probably the cell(s) over North London.

Fingers crossed for a nice light show, a good lashing of rain and a rapid drop in temperature.

Got a tad thundery here in Lincolnshire this evening

Pretty constant lightning and thunder for the last 30 odd mins, really quite something!
