A certain poster replying "OK boomer" to everything is increasingly annoying me beyond reason .
INB4 someone says same in reply to this .
I believe that was aimed am me due to having a difference of opinion, something frowned upon it seems.INB4 someone says same in reply to this .
And I am 4 years too young to be a boomer, and we never had kids. But when someone has to insult they have already lost the argument.
To be fair I have been asked or told to go home twice in my life once here by my neighbours and once in my home country.
1, The UK by 1 set of neighbours. I have been here 44 years.
2, In Calgary in which I was born.
Those things annoy me beyond reason to match this thread.

Several items I had up for sale on eBay sold yesterday. One is still awaiting payment. Despite having sent an invoice and then this morning a follow-up email asking for them to pay ASAP so that I can despatch their item at the same time as the others.
I can see where this is going - they'll leave it several days before paying and then when they finally do pay they'll attach a note asking for it to be sent 1st Class as they need it urgently. That's what usually happens anyway.
What a palaver. Having sent an email, an invoice, a payment reminder, opened a non-paying bidder case yesterday, and then today sent another email to the buyer pointing out that their feedbacks say they are a prompt payer and I don't understand why they won't pay, they finally paid, 3.5 days after the auction closed. No email reply, just paid. The non-paying bidder case then automatically closed as resolved.I can see where this is going - they'll leave it several days before paying and then when they finally do pay they'll attach a note asking for it to be sent 1st Class as they need it urgently. Make sure you don't send the item until it's too late to be delivered in time for Christmas.
The annoying thing is that I only charged £2.95 for postage and specified it would be 2nd Class Signed For. Turns out it's actually going to cost me £3.90 (unsigned is £2.90). The item only sold for £8-odd. I think I'm going to have to just suck it up, as I don't want to give any wriggle room for "not as described" or "not received".
My own fault, I know. Still annoying though.

Send it by Hermes - £2.85 tracked
Add 80p to that if you want Signature / Proof of Delivery though. In this instance I sent it RM 2nd Class Signed For as that's what my listing specified, and I figured sending it by anything other than that would give the buyer an opportunity to say it was not sent as described / advertised.
But next time, I will specify a generic option like "Other courier 2-3 days".
(For people not familiar with selling on eBay, you select your postage option(s) from a list and then assign a price to each option, and the buyer is charged that amount in addition to the selling price. I selected "Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For" from the list)

eBay seem to be lagging behind Royal Mail in their prices, I listed an item for 2nd Class delivery £2.90 but actual cost was £3, no big deal but it does add up. Worth bearing in mind that Royal Mail have different prices for online and Post Office. 2nd Class small parcel is £2.90 online and £3.00 in person. [quote=Clockwork Cupcake]

Welcome to the popular pastime, Post Office Russian Roulette. Played it and lost it many a time. I sold walking stick (shepherd's crook style), alloting £4.50 for P&P.
"Oh, it weighs very little but it's half a cm too long."
So, it had to go arsleforce, for £13 ffs.
You naturally take the hit for your feedback score's sake.. and then.
You get some mad who...
Begs £10 off your product for being disabled /dyslexic . Er no.
Orders then opens a case claiming non delivery.
Doesn't bother to get off their arse to sign,
or collect from the PO.
Parcel returns unopened.
She gets refunded by eBay and then reorders so you send the product out - again.
Next, feedback saying the product is old, used, scratched, not as described, etc.
My score drops from a 5+ year 100 to 99.2%
Product back in original box, returned at my expense.
Product has been disassembled and put together wrongly. Protective film taken off, screen scratched, wallet torn off fittings. Now unfit for resale.
And eBay is pestering for me to refund again?
OK, how do you spell, 'contract'?
