Here's one that probably isn't really for this thread as I think my annoyance is well within reason but I don't know where else to post it and I'm really bloody annoyed!
Petty vandals. I've had company cars for 17 years. Started a job a couple of months ago with car allowance so bought myself a car that I utterly love. Last night some utter vermin decided to smash my wing mirror cover while I was performing in a pantomime. £200 that I didn't want to spend and it won't be fixed until the new year now.
So pissed off.

Hmm, that's odd. On my Golf Mk7 they are fine and usually work like an infinitely adjustable intermittent. There's even a sensitivity adjuster on the stalk which is useful for fine-tuning the triggering.k. Nothing. Had to slam on the brakes to not risk hitting any number of the cars behind it. I work from home a lot fo the time upstairs usually with AirPods in so can' hear the door.
Expecting a delivery so specified online on the couriers website for it to be delivered to my safe place ie- shed. I even have a clear sign on the door not to leave with neighbours or take back to depot ( firstly because it's 10 miles away and secondly I can't be bothered going).
Of course they ignored both instructions and took it back to the depot.

I like them as they are cheap, well built and contemporary.
Used them for years but not bought any in a long time.
Just bought a load to hang new photos up and they have changed the fixing system. Used to be two little clamps with wire between them. Great for fine tuning any height difference.
Now they have the worlds smallest fixed brackets that only accept a screw or nail head. Their depth from the back of the frame means no standard wall bracket works so now you have to hammer a nail or fix a screw in the wall.
Great if you live in a new build with paper walls, not so great if you live in an old house that requires diamond tipped drill bits to drill into the toughest wall material known to man.
Do those 3m command strips work?

Why is Network Rail doing this?
NR have to cut down trees near the railway lines, so as to minimise the chances of "leaves on the line", fallen branches, to stop tree branches tangling with overhead cables, and to ensure that signals are not blocked. Because they're cutting loads down, they're planting new ones to make up for it.
Will the new trees be planted alongside the railway line?
Well, yes, of course they will, you imbeciles. Having identified that trees near the line cause all sorts of problems for the railway, not least the four problems we mentioned only a few moments ago, of course NR will be stupid enough to give themselves another expensive pruning job in the future by putting more trees in the exact same location that they spent time and money removing trees from.
