Whitney Houston had potential
If robots could sing they'd sound like Whitney. Technically brilliant, but completely lacking in any warmth or emotion. If you want to learn how to sing, listen to Whitney, Ella, Barbara, Aretha et al. If you want to be moved by someone singing, listen to Karen Carpenter. Happily watch her sing for hours ....... although maybe not these days!

Barbecues are over rated
How dare you.Unlike indoor equipment, you get away with not having to properly wash, scrub and clean a bbq, and for that reason alone it's awesome
It's just that I find bbqs over rated even when they're at someone else's house (garden for the pedantic ); just one of those things that always sounds like it's going to be better than it actually is. Or maybe I'm just a miserable get

Update to my earlier post.
I now know who Karen Carpenter is and I find her music boring.
But what about her voice? I can take or leave a lot of The Carpenters stuff, although some of it really like. But that voice, just amazing. I now know who Karen Carpenter is and I find her music boring.
I don't like golf, but I can still appreciate the ability of the world's top golfers.

+1I don't like golf, but I can still appreciate the ability of the world's top golfers.
If you don't like the Carpenters stuff, listen to her version of Desperado.

Oh for sure, she was very talented. Shame she died so young. I don't like golf, but I can still appreciate the ability of the world's top golfers.

Thanks for the update, we'll alert the media.
You are most welcome. Keep the right wing rags away though, like the Daily Mail or The Sun, thanks in advance. Stan the Bat said:

My unpopular opinion this morning is that you should never eat in a restaurant that has laminated menus. Doubly so if they show pictures of the food.

Seems reasonable but I wished for such a menu once many years ago when I ordered dinner in some backwater somewhere far away (can't even remember which country it was) and I received a hoof for my efforts.paulguitar said:

That’s not unpopular with me, I don’t like laminated menus, but pictures of the food is a total no-no, they are normally the mark of a chav burger, egg, and chips nosebag heaven.Frank7 said:
