No, I'm just not a fan of American fast food.

I think Nicola Sturgeon was a great politician. It's a shame we don't have somebody like her at Westminster.

People who think that Brexit was a mistake and consider the EU to be so great EU should probably move to a country that is a member and stop pissing and moaning in the UK.

Is that unpopular?
That's a ridiculous mindset, you might as well say "If you don't like the Tories being in charge of the UK you should move to another country where they aren't".

A better analogy would be 'if you live in Taiwan and want to be ruled by China you can always move to China'.

No, not really, the excuse for telling Remainers they should move is basically "If you don't like where you are, move to where you do", hence using the current political party analogy. It's ridiculous to suggest you should simply move instead of trying to influence change where you currently are.

"Wanting to trade with China" is not the same as "wanting to be ruled by China"

Ditto the EU.

Nobody ever suggested ceasing trade with the EU, it was just a few remainers who claimed it would be impossible to trade with EU countries from outside it.

I believe her resignation means she can spend more time with her literary agent.

I'm surprised he hasn't been cancelled
I watched pulp fiction again a few weeks ago, he used the N word several times.
He was in character, but it was his own character in his own film, no way that would happen these days.

Completely correct.

I'll add to that to state that:

The amazing capabilities, and investment in engineering to create such amazing driving machines as modern super/hyper cars is utterly wasted on buyers who simply want whatever is the most expensive bauble to ride around in whilst snorting coke off a hookers cleavage.

There should be an amnesty on returning banned posters.

There seem to be loads. We know it, the Mods know it.

I'm not. I have explained that to the Mods.

Both have their place and are equally nice.

I enjoy a bag of chips from the local chippy doused in salt and vinegar as much as I enjoy a bowl of lightly salted fries dipped in mayo.

Two different things to me....

I'm interested to know how you would know that there returning banned posters on the forum?

I know of one but then I was able to recognise his style from his previous login last used a good many years ago. My attention was drawn to him because he had a go at me on a different part of this forum a little while ago.

Some of my unapologetic unpopular (for some) opinions:

The Imperial system should finally be completely scrapped in favour of Metric - i.e. km not miles! - rather than lingering on for some things.

I thought the World Governments largely for it right with the Pandemic and that the restrictions and masks weren't a bother. I supported the lockdowns until vaccine roll-out and happy that the response was largely appropriate.

Brexit is a total folly and daft. It will be reversed in time.

I like cars but not really motorsport.

I prefer bicycles to cars...biggrin
I've been working for an American company for 18 months, with all drawing of all components in "American"

For the first 6 months, I'd convert every dimension, to mm. As I couldn't really understand what say 0.006" was. Now I don't bother. It's the same thickness as one sheet of laminate, before you l laminate with it. (I know this because in a panic I made a shim out of it on assembly tooling)
