I fear some of wemakeplanebits.com's style of management may have rubbed off on wedrivebigheavyfreighttrains.com's back room staff, I've been rostered onto a job on Wednesday which goes over a route I don't know (or 'sign the road for' in railway parlance), so today has been a case of last minute panic stricken driver swapping to make sure all the jobs we're booked on this week actually run, with none of us running out of hours or losing out on annual leave days etc. It happens every once in a while when our regular roster clerk is off sick and chaos inevitably ensues. Splendid, what hehe

I could write a book on middle management incompetence.

No Peritry will be involved.

Did you not get the email???
Wemakeplanebits.com has purchased a majority stake in wedrivebigheavyfreighttrains.com, in a bold and unprecedented move they've ousted all the existing managers and replaced them with straight out of university degree holders with absolutely no experience what so ever and no idea at all about what you do, they do however have a big book of management stuff and that tells them categorically that you're doing it wrong!!!! yes

I wonder if I could ask the collective's opinion on something?

I've been having a chat with Claire, she's pinched a bit of my kebab for what it's worth incidentally.

She said "Bomma, you're not exactly in the first flush of youth. But you have a Fireblade, a shotgun that wouldn't look out of place in a Terminator film and you still get involved in punch ups. You really are a looney, aren't you?"

Gleadle thinks I am, I've got a piece of paper somewhere that confirms it.

Just wondered, that's all.

The first question in the TT entrance exam is....."Are you a little bonkers ?"

Anyone answering "NO" isn't allowed in......jestersillynutsblah

It's not negotiable.

Is the correct answer!!!
Saw a sticker on a car many years ago which I think is very true:-
Growing old is unavoidable, growing up is optional!!!

49 yars old, i'd still clatter someone if it's called for or necessary, just added a 10" sub and 200 watt RMS amp to my car, still listen to Drum and bass and trance.
Be the person you are, not the person others want you to be.

I think this still passes off as Trance?

First heard it in a bar in Akrotiri, having a drink with a Greek girl I was. For the life of me I can't remember her name.

Well, OUR GATE is a strong, robust gate. With manly posts and "for the ages" accoutrements.

It will certainly see me out. I'll post a photo of the gate in a couple of weeks.
In case anyone's bothered. Said gate.

Evening all.
I am just checking in prior to checking out and toddling off upstairs for a well-earned night's kip.
I am typing this from that Essex land, not to far from Pushfit's gaff if truth be told.

The drive down to my sister's this afternoon was quite an arduous slog, although the M1 was rather more benign than usual, apart from all the spray that accompanied each deluge.
I had been advised to avoid the ongoing A14 roadworks near Cambridge, so instead I carried on down tbe M1 and came off at J13, intending to take the A507 to Buntingford.
All fine and good until I found the road closed before Baldock and no diversion in place. rolleyes
So Percy and I spent the rest of the afternoon discovering little back roads we've never driven before, and had a whale of a time!
driving We emerged onto familiar roads at Debden and the rest of our journey was a joy.
Percy loves a good spanking every now and then.
Rightho, I'm off to bed now, don't forget to lock up. sleep

Well another day, another 0400 start, machine remains unscathed which is both good and a miracle!!! I have received an "award" for my efforts which is nice, I remain however, frustrated by the ability of the managers to grasp the fact that it's only a matter of time before something goes very wrong, a relatively minor problem occurred Saturday night and that cost them 8hrs of production!!!

Still enough of the doom and gloom, morning fellow Trivialites!! wavey

Morning all. May I just say it's a bit of a sad day here, it's been a year to the day that Mrs B passed away.

Things do move on I suppose, I do desperately miss the old girl though. Lovely person she was.

We're off out soon with Grandbomma's new scooter. It'll be some comfort, especially if she does another handbrake turn.

We'll see how it goes.

Morning Bobbers this work/machine/management thing seems to be a daily viscous circle it looks like something needs to change as you can’t go on like that.

Remember one set of coordinates, leave it to us, and it’ll all be over.

Bobbers, Pushfit omitted one essential part of his plan.

One the day you supply the coordinates stay at home.

You might want to spruce up the Anderson Shelter as well.
