Sounds fussy. Al-cock-gobbler-535 is a perfectly valid nickname.

No, I'm not. Don't have a bike and hate cycling.

One of you should go on and suggest the government should hire clapping and lock down compliance monitors to keep a central log of each household so that the government can use this data when deciding whether people should be investigated for later crimes, have access to benefits etc as good citizens.

Why was your elderly neighbour outside when it's obviously fatal being within 200 feet of another human being?

No problem with people keeping cats or dogs, but when you're in the park and someone's taking their ambulance for a walk it's getting ridiculous.

Local council have advised against bonfires as it might agitate those with covid, which i guess is fair enough, but they added a small note at the end saying it also applies to bbqs?

Local group seem to all think bbqing is the devil's work and good riddance: "the smoke ruins my washing" "I'm a key worker and I had my Windows open yesterday" "the smoke will make people die of covid" there's no middle ground anymore, suddenly a lovely bit of meat smoke is suddenly as bad a huge bonfire made up of damp wood and car tyres, madness

I'm still going to bbq though, bks to the silly 'advice'
Same councils who were threatening to shut businesses because people were selling 'non essential' items, despite it not being against the law.

It takes 2 minutes for the authoritarian tendancies to surface with these aholes.

Nothing is more frightening than giving the local authorities and police unfettered powers. Their behaviour over these events should help people understand why the law is so specific.

Banning barbecues indeed. Pah.

Budweiser = council. If I was a bin man I’d not assume that piss was left out as a gift but to be disposed of.

Wotcha, I’m in Penrith too (well, Temple Sowerby), and looking at your profile you may well have taken one of my moggy’s fangs out a couple of weeks ago.
Ex-Appleby here. Could write a book on the Facebook nonsense from there over the years.

It's not much different on here half the time. If you fail to agree in entirety with someone's point of view, you are automatically dumped into the adversary bin and it's assumed you're diametrically opposed.

The inference in that is scary. I bet you want to see clearly who turns up and who doesn't.
