I went out on Friday and Saturday night. Some of the girls were stunning. I’ll be giving up on Match/Tinder/Bumble when I want to settle down. Christmas obviously played a part - but....

Even dogs have standards and for some reason are attracted to us top presenters. Little to no chance but they give it a shot when all around there are plenty of 5 footers just looking for a sniff.

Nice work chum. Your short but voluble time here never fails to deliver. Well, noting that 'deliver' means different things to different folk.

I'm wondering how long before Hinge is more popular than Tinder!
You can set your location on Hinge to where ever you want for free (handy if you are going on holiday/work trip), can message right away (and hope for a reply rather than a match)

Getting the best results on Hinge by a mile in Brighton. Plenty of matches and the girls seem keen to chat and actually want meet up.

Bumble has gone right downhill - zero matches, except when I was in Budapest where it worked like magic.

Tinder - not getting many matches - used to get loads.

I think most women want a relationship and are attracted to the less slutty image Hinge.

Was really hoping to get into a proper relationship this year but have instead had quite a bit of fun and dated a couple of girls for 2 months or so. Both turned out to be utterly bonkers (princess who's life was a car crash and a total coke head)

Got 3 dates set up for next week:

Second date with pink-haired hippy/metal lass who's into Polyamory - cute and loads of fun, not expecting this to be a long term thing...

A blind date set up through a slightly daft number of intermediaries - apparently very pretty, works for PWC and seems to have her life properly together. She's a good friend of my sisters, boyfriends, sister...

Second date with a lass 10 months after the first laugh

She was the first girl I took out after my last LTR ended. Smart, really cute and a proper laugh. The night ended with a snog but was ghosted after a few messages. Assumed I was probably just punching too high with that one and moved on. Still, decided to drop her a message the other day and got chatting. Turned out she really enjoyed the date but had an issue with one element of my lifestyle. Talked her round into going for a drink so rather looking forward to that.

it's weird someone saying they are into polyamory. I mean, most people would be into polyamory if they could get away with it. What they are really saying is you need to be OK with them fking multiple people.

Isn't it just a modern way of saying 'fk buddy'?

The weird part is she wants kids - over raised eyebrows I asked her how she saw this working. She hadn't got that one figured out yet hehe

Turned out she'd been in an 11-year marriage which wasn't particularly great and was a bit traumatised by it. She's 33 now and broke up 18 months ago - so after getting married at 21 and wasting pretty much the whole of her 20's it's understandable she's somewhat terrified by commitment.

Pretty sure if she met the right guy things would change.

I mean, I've certainly avoided relationships and wanted to sleep around for a bit after most of my long term relationships.

Not falling into the trap of trying to 'fix' another girl, got that t-shirt.

Yea, she's still got to get over the marriage. Though think it was just a bit st rather than anything nasty.

Going bouldering with her on Monday, so will report back on how it goes.

Not planning on anything too serious happening and will be double wrapping hehe

Been chatting to the other two potentials today and looks like both of those dates are looking solid for next week

It's the lass I went on the date with 10 months back I'm really hoping works out - confident, bright, loves a drink and has her st together. Having to trek from Brighton up to London for a drink - will be doing either Croyden or Victoria - anyone got any suggestions for decent bars?
