To be fair, even a 2009 model isn't 30k.

I'd be well chuffed with an Escalade no matter what age as they were always the best of the best when I was growing up (movies/music videos etc) so even to waft around in one for a month or so would be amazing.

Shame you're in NI otherwise I would've seriously thought about buying it from you if you didn't want it. (at a discounted I know it cost you nothing price lol)
Yes, should be fun. Looking forward to the school run on September for a laugh. Need to get the antisocial exhaust fitted for extra anti social points biggrin

You say above that nobody has been killed.. Nearly every old Escalade was owned by a American ganster at one point (fims say so) so I'd check for any blood stains in the boot if I was you.

Yes, I read the small print. It just says not tigers actual car, but the model he was driving (which was back in 2009) so I assumed, incorrectly, what I had won. Its only when you go into t's and c's (which you need to search for) that you realise it 2003.
actually it says "same MAKE"

you aren't great at this reading lark, are you?

My niece has a brand new one of these the Escalade ESV in New York for going to red carpet things as she is a successful model. It is stunning and huge and was about $100k. Can’t believe they were that much 16 yrs ago. That Twitter video clearly says £30k.
CUSTARD!!!!!!!!
I agree, this threads moved on, no proof without photos.

The print wasn't that small either.

But you got the short end of a stick, not the stty end.

See if you can get paddy power to sponsor you to drive it to mongolia for charideeeeeeee and go have an adventure where everyone wins.

What can I win?
Tiger’s crashed car* as seen on the billboard near Portrush.
The car is left-hand drive; it will be delivered to the winner’s door in whatever shape it’s in after it’s removed from the billboard.
Prize excludes any costs associated with using the car such as motor and road taxes, NCT/MOTs, insurance, petrol and running/maintenance costs.
2003 Cadillac Escalade, Black, long wheel base, 5967CC, grey trim interior

Sounds like a liability... you could be out of pocket here! laugh

If it was imported from the US part way through it's life, could also be possible to get some of the history from CarFax too (for a fee, sadly)

pretty damn clear cut though aint it biggrin

Surprised you had the balls to even create this thread lad, given how defined the T&C's are. Always read the small print, it's literally there to allow people to cover their arse.

This. Isn't it stuff like this that appears in the PH brave pill articles?

In keeping with the source of this vehicle shall we start a book on how long it takes before the OP starts a thread about a tale of woe concerning said prize biggrin

Sorry for not coming back for a bit, been away looking at trying to get a good deal on breakdown cover biggrin

For those that are saying I should have read the T's and C's, yes, guilty as charged.

Got carried away in the moment and just assumed it was an expensive car. I think it's quite easy to see how I got myself into that frame of mind. Instead of checking Ts and Cs, I was straight onto auto trader and YouTube to find out more about these beasts and got sucked down that rabbit hole of air intakes, exhaust upgrades and all that jazz.

Anyways, now that I've found out vehicle recovery agents won't touch me a barge pole, I guess there are other things to discuss while I've got a captive audience.

Anyone driven one of these monsters? Over 20ft long from what I can gather. It's going to handle like a boat (no offence to anyone that has a boat that might give me a run for my money on cornering)

Am I on a hiding to nothing on running costs?

Any suggestions how I could sell on a left hooker with limited market for something so enormous? It seems like it could be tricky to find a buyer.

Was having a chuckle to myself earlier about the whole situation. Compared it in my head to someone going on a Tinder date (not that I've ever been on one)

The expectation

The reality

All the same I'm looking forward to seeing it on Wed and going for a sail with the kids. They'll love the back row of seats and just the sheer absurdity of the car. I've never had a V8 before so in the most bizarre of circumstances, I'm going to tick that box on Wednesday smile
