There was a classic insurance thread with lots of input here lately. Conclusion was "anyone but Adrian Flux".

A friend recommended R.H Specialist Insurance although I thought their quote £190 was a bit high - £30,000 car, not something worth mega bucks.

Footman James - on an agreed valuation basis, quite competitive..

Are you a car club member and do they have an insurance panel? Usually those will be the best value.

Mine are with Hagerty. One perk is that you can drive any other Hagerty-insured classic (with the owner's consent of course!) and be fully insured but with a £1000 excess.

I moved to LV to insure our daily driver's, as a new customer they offered me 15% discount on a classic car policy,so I went for it.
Very impressed with the way they operate, premium much less, all the usual classic policy do's and dont's, agreed value etc etc.

I have my two with Adrian Flux, about £120 each inc legal protection.

Points to consider: why not state the obvious

Mileage p.a. it can be very dear if considered per mile
Where you keep them, I can store in Dewsbury but not North Leeds
Your age, add my 25 y.o. son, add £600
Car value and agreed value,
You insure against catastrophe, and nothing else
etc etc
You get what you pay for
