Have you guys compared Aliexpress or gearbest to Wish?

I only ask because the postage on wish annoys me and i find if i check the former 2 ist quite often free postage and the item price hasnt increased. It could be because I am getting this delivered to Germany, rather than the UK, but I find the Wish postage rather high.

obviously, im not trying to teach you masters of frivolity to suck eggs. Im just wondering if anyone else has noticed.
I had a couple of bad experiences with GearBest, so don't bother anymore.

I got annoyed with Wish for exactly the reason you mention, and found the same solution via AliExpress.

The main problem I get with AliExpress is the headline figure is for the lowest priced option on the options, so you find what you think is a good price for a set of headphones, (for instance) and find out that there is the option of buying a headphone case, which gave the low price, and the thing you actually want is about 10% more than it is elsewhere.

But hey-ho.

I make resin jewellery so buy a lot of moulds from Ali. In the past if I've needed something a bit quicker I've ordered from Wish as things seem to get through the post that bit quicker.
For the most part though I stick with Ali because I know their dispute process is sound and I almost always get what I ordered (miniature balls aside biggrin)

Ordered the Alcantara steering wheel cover. Looks doable, and it appeals too much at $40.

PH, i have a problem that has outgrown the threads core concept of wish and ali and banggood.

I have succumbed to ACTUALLY believing what i see on Facebook and this has led me to buy this thing:

https://mrolivia.com/products/mrolivia-high-end-wi...

Haloween custom black and the "2019 spec" (POWERFUL) variant. I just know it's going to be absolute tosh. Stay tuned.

I needed about ten or twenty LEDs to in case my indicator needs repairing again, it was cheaper to order 1000 from Ali than to get ten in the UK.

Anyone wanna buy some spare LEDs? hehe

Lucky magic dragon boat number 4 electronics company to the rescue.
The disappointment on googling 'Lucky magic dragon boat number 4 electronics company' and not seeing it on the first page of results. Then I googled lucky Chinese numbers and found out that 4 is the unluckiest due to its association with death, and realised you have a knack of enticing the unwary to google (ie, I fell for it).

Sandblaster attachment for a pressure washer.

16 pounds from eBay. Looks the same as the official branded ones that are 10 times the price.

Hopefully it last long enough to tidy up 4 alloys I'm repainting. Assuming it works at all.

Please update on how you get on.
I have a m/c pannier rack that has been coated in a special instant sandpaper clogging paint that needs some attention.

I'm going to play a bit of a downer here - apologies in advance - but I'm HK based and am in the manufacturing / retail industry so I've got a lot of first hand experience.

They're cheap for a reason. Reasons include:
- generally crap
- cheap materials
- no product testing
- factory conditions
- employment conditions

If it seems weirdly cheap, someone somewhere is paying for it.

This isn't the case for everything - there are a lot of factories who want to sell direct etc.

Two of my posters I ordered hadn't turned up and were well past the due dates, so I went into my orders in the app and there is an option to inform them when it doesn't turn up, it put me into some automated system where it gives a choice of waiting longer for them to arrive or request further assistance, I chose the latter and they just issued refunds for them both with a message that if they turn up I can keep them... very next day they turned up! rolleyesbiggrin

One of them was a canvas print and is quite creased from being bashed/bent in postage, so will need to try and iron it out somehow if we are going to use it.

Yeah please do, I have been looking at these as I have quite a number of car parts to clean up, my reading up suggests that you'll use alot of sand with not enough pressure for it to work unless you have one of the more powerful jet washers

I don't think Xiaomi stuff really counts since it's generally quite well regarded.

However I got a couple of these from Ali for £5.74 each back on Singles Day and they're brilliant

Engrish in the description is spot-on, they do illuminate every darkness!

I thought these would be on a basic motion sensor but peculiarly they don't work just with motion, but will when you step into their 'field'. Example; one of mine is in the bathroom for those late night trips to the loo. When the door swings open it doesn't trigger, but when I step into the room it does. Magic.

I also got the Xiaomi make-up mirror which illuminates. I don't know why, needed a mirror for the bathroom and this appealed. Looks good and has a rechargeable battery built-in.
