Wow, any chances of it udging a bit further East? confused

As for today, it is utterly filthy out there and, according to timeanddate.com today is the first day of about a weeks worth of the earliest dark evenings, on the 17th the night start drawing out! However the mornings are still coming in until the 21st which is the shortest day.

Quite apt really as it has felt as if it has been getting dark since about 2pm today. Proper wet, windy and winter dark at the moment, I love it. Snow would literally be the icing on the cake.

With his accuracy track record, he'd end up hitting a gull on the isle of wight :P

Mine have been away since the end of september. Much too chilly to have one's knees in the breeze now!

The recent weather has been making me look at holidays to Tenerife, et al. The need for some sun and warmth is getting bad.

Colin, I bet you're loving it!

I did prefer the white snow but with the march of the Pride movement, the weather was going to be rebranded at some point!!!!!

Was it the Day Today that did a spoof "This weeks gay weather / shipping forecast (or porkfest as the skit called it) is..........Faores, Storm 5, cumming cumming, cumming Northerly. Iceland, bent, North Dogger meeting Jamie and Simon at South Dogger, turning mushy......".

Anyone got the script to the skit?

I will ignore the jibes tongue out

And on that note... potential for some snow for many places over the weekend. Further ahead building blocks are falling in to place for a cold spell around Xmas. Even the UKMO is joining in.

I actually returned to the much more sensible climes of Ireland at the weekend. Which was useful because almost every road in Iceland is closed this morning! Biggest gust recorded there so far is just shy of 200kmh (125mph) and most of the West and North buried under 2-3 meter snow drifts.

OK - so who's clever idea was it to rain all last night then drop below freezing this am?

Funny.

Must try harder.
