That's absolutely insane to see on a map. Even the have a go heroes in their old Hiluxes will have been caught out by all that snow!

Don, I agree. Roads were absolutely filthy today too.

Stop it you big tease! What time is the downgrade due?

Swanage got a mention on the radio today as the warmest spot in the country at 8°c. It didn't even feel that high. frown

I guess it's time to take a look towards the big day...

We're at one of those crossroads type positions. A cold, and potentially snowy, Xmas Day is not impossible. Nor is it forecast. Plenty of ways that cold could still arrive - plenty of ways that warm and wet could too.

However, the polar vortex isn't particularly powerful, so less chance than normal for an Atlantic battering.

Dusting of snow this morning in the Peak District. Enough to leave a footprint.

I've had it with winter.

Zero degrees and I'm scraping the windscreen (having forced my way in through frozen seals - again) and it starts raining.

Raining! At least it helped clear the windows...

Roll on March.

(Although I reserve the right to be chuffed as hell if we get a dollop and can go tobogganing all day...might even assist with making a gender fluid snow person).

My prediction is; wet and windy and possibly a bit chilly sonar

I forget what the bookies criteria is, something like a flake landing and settling on the post office tower.

Mine was harder to deal with. It was a navy seal.

Reminds me of the classic Half man half biscuit cover of David Essex's song, night clubbing - seal clubbing.

Me and my girl – sealclubbing
Me and my girl – out on the ice
Me and my girl – sealclubbing
Me and my girl – ooh paradise

Back to today's weather - filthy.

I've been to that London today for a meeting. Some poor soul decided to jump in front of a train on the Great Western mainline, made it as far as Ealing Broadway by tube then £50's worth of Toyota Penis Uber home. The M40 was bad.

I still need to pop out and vote later when the Mrs is home, hope it stops raining by then.

I got stuck in Bristol by that jumper (after having breakfast in The City and lunch in Bristol).

GWR's handling of it was terrible. 3 intercity trains ready to go to London and they moved us from the 14.30 to the 15.30 to the 15.00. Piss up and brewery.

I was sat on a train at Paddington and almost at the exact moment it was due to leave, the announcement was made and we all had to get off. All was not lost (well it was) as I had my first trip on one of those new crossrail trains to Ealing Broadway.

Very sad, that is the 2nd jumper this week.

Pug, those are six years old.

The weather in the present and near future must be boring.

Saying that, I'd swear it was sleeting here about an hour ago, but probably just fat rain.
