Correct side of the pennines=Yorkshire. The snow and sleet was over the highest point on the motorway network which is on the yorks/lancs border

Another Colorado party trick, bright sunshine, and snow.

Light, lasted for about 5 minutes, but it's still quite weird to me.

Proper snow due tomorrow.

In MK. Suddenly very heavy rain and very strong winds. Our patio doors have warped slightly ( been like this for a while, not the wind today has done it) and there is a little gap but the curtains are moving considerably.

You are welcome to it! We've had 3 feet in 48 hours here and it's still going strong.

I've spent the last 13 hours on I70 on a 10 mile stretch trying to keep it open.

Keeping an eye on the big day. Hopeful for cold weather, currently chance of frost and snow on hills as low pressure finally buggers off.

Still very much in the mix - could yet turn mild.

Scotland, frozen solid. It's not that nice frost that scrapes off either, it's the frozen solid water that makes you fall over.

Anyway finally screen was clear, went in the car... gave the window a we wipe with a microfiber, pulled my back out. Yay.

First snowballs of the season!
Woke up to a covering and on and off showers this morning. Brightened up now, blue skies but still very cold.

South of Birmingham was similar, woken by rain lashing against the window and howling wind, then a sudden loud crack and the already rotten fence/post gave in. Then about 30 seconds after that all calm.

Woke up this morning at 4am to the sound of the battering hail and thunder. So much so that it looked like we'd had an inch of snow.

Just to rub it in with the lack of actual snow, this was the view from the top of Sainsburys in Blackpool

So close yet so far
