Ahhh, can't believe I missed this thread! Been going a whole week!

Maybe a week ago we had our first real wintery feeling day in Kingston, looking forward to more. I'm contemplating buying a set of winter wheels for the Evora so I can get max use out of it, as soon as I do we're guaranteed a mild one. Of course.
All season tyres aren't a bad shout round here at any time of year, with the amount of mud and st that gets washed onto the roads.

Tnx Jim ^ . High of 1c today , snow coming from the Rockies for a light dusting . I travel to Winnipeg Manitoba on Friday which will have this same system plus a fecking Colorado low coming up to put the boot in , travel advisories out for the weekend .
Need to be home for Thanksgiving turkey on Monday , keep your snow to yourself Mr Jim .

You're welcome. So far...feck all in the way of snow. Something started blowing in last night around 6, but it's calmed since then and all I've seen is some moisture on the roads.
The highest snow forecast is between 9 and 3 - we'll see if we actually get any.
Before 6 last night, I thought it likely that we wouldn't get much, after 6 I thought we could get a pretty decent amount, now I'm back to not expecting anything except it to be cold (-10c) over night.

The difference 12 hours makes. This was yesterday - 65f (18c) and a Stage 1 fire ban in place:

Fast forward to this morning - 28f (-2c) and I70 closed at certain locations due to the snow:

Get out and blow it about 90 miles further east would you? Getting tired of waiting...

Ok, blow a little harder. We have the lightest of light dustings now, roofs and decks only.

We got a couple of inches. My colleague in Littleton got about 4. Actually settled on the roads enough that the city plowed, to my surprise.

Colorado lows you saw...new record low for this day of the year, 9f/-13c. It's a bit brisk.

Still, it'll be 23c on Monday.

It dropped to 5f (-15c) up here overnight. Clear skies today though and warming up nicely.

Got 400kms into the trip then barriers were down and highway closed. Been waiting for 5 hours and it’s only getting worse , grabbed a room until the morning. Oh the joy lol .

Would have turned back yesterday but my company insisted I wait it out , despite me warning them I’d be stuck here . Now roads are closed in all directions , and another night in the hotel awaits . Starting to get concerned about making it home for our “wrong day turkey”. Living the dream ha

Daily Express probably, they make upcoming winters seem like its going to be worse than a Game of Thrones type winter, will be same as last year, any minor bit of snow that just you to happen and get dealt with as normal turned into a massive doom laden prophecy and then we get some snow, which is less than anticipated and then melts away in under 48 hours.

the Daily Express is way worse than any weather we get.
