21C due Monday.

By those standards, it's been Summer here for a month. Just Winter at the same time, too. Which is pretty much dead on for Colorado.

Actually 24c today. Very nice. Naturally, I've turned the sprinkler system back on.

So now the forecast is for snow most of the weekend.

We are supposed to get a foot of the white stuff up here on Sunday. Thankfully I won't be working smile

-7c and a couple of inches, which has largely been melting once it's fallen. Woke to white roads, but they're clear now.

Bit strange here in MK. Been sunny all day but tonight the wind has got up and the sky tv signal is all screwed.

Is there a storm in bound?

I think it's telling that we didn't bother unpacking the winter duvet this season. The lasting impression will always be the strong winds and the multiple flooding events locally.

Still snowing here. Can't see the summer comforter going on until May.

Another round of snow last night into the morning.

Dropped to about -9c last night, and alas, the sprinkler system did not enjoy this. Water pissing out of the pressure vacuum breaker. Fortunately a new set of innards for $30 sorted this, so I only need to worry about the underground pipes and sprinkler heads now. A task for tomorrow.

It put down ~6" in total with some melting during Thursday, so a decent storm. Hopefully the last of the season - next week looks clear.

You say that, but in summer, A/C is the only thing that makes this place habitable. I can burn to the point of blisters in 30 minutes if I'm not careful.

Colorado? Some friends of mine live in Kansas and have a place in Colorado. Never been, but the mountains and proper winter/summers are my kind of thing.

Yep.

You get both here.

Often in the same day.

Yep. And within the space of a couple of miles up here in the mountains you can go from sunshine and blue sky to snow.

Sometimes the amount of snow gets a bit tiring though - we had only two snow-free months last year.

I don't know if it's been mentioned on here, but the sky changing colour recently has been bloody extraordinary. I assume it's all over the UK, but here (NW Highlands) we are on the main Europe / USA flight-path and since the lockdown most of the 'purple' tint has disappeared from the sky, changing it to a pastel powder blue.

The knock on effect on the freshwater lochs here has meant they have also completely changed colour when viewed from some height. They just don't look real!

Have skies changed down south as much? (Nothing on TV about it that I have seen).
