Take the air filter off and make sure the flap in the AFM is clean and the seat is clean also, with the flap closing fully with no air flow. I had an issue with hunting in the past and there was a build up of crud on the flap seat.

If you do need a refurbished AFM then Mark Adams at Tornado ECU systems had a shelf load last time I was there.

Remove the black cover carefully and clean the track and sweeper blade with brake cleaner/contact cleaner/alcohol , a common fix for BMW's Peugeots etc back in the day due to flat/dead spots and total power drop out , make sure you re-seal the cover with nothing too permanent , easily confirmed faulty by sweeping closed to open flap slowly and watching output voltage using a multi-meter scratchchin
