Mission is to retrieve small jiffy bag with a key inside that has been dropped through a household letterbox.I need the key to cut it and program it for a customer, and postie has dropped it through the flat next door, which is unoccupied!:-)
It has one of those cheap bendy plastic white front doors, anyone any ideas?

Mirror on a stick like a dentist uses (available at engineer's merchants) and a small fishing weight with a dab of superglue could work. Or may result in you dragging the hall carpet through the letterbox biggrin

Or a trained snake?

Locksmith? The one i recently used didn't seek any proof of entitlement or right of access (though knew I was traceable via the visa card payment).

Anyway, I don't believe you - it's not really a key is it? It's your Love Honey order and you just don't want to explain those little blue pills to the old dear who lives there...

Strong magnet on a string, presuming it is a metal key.

Chunky Neodymium magnet on a rope:

They have bigger ones but you can't go too big as it needs to go through the letter box slot.

Tell the police you were passing and noticed a bad smell and loads of flies. They’ll soon have the door kicked in! bandit
