Hi, can I just ask if anyone has heard of or used SellPak Group? Apparently they deal with the selling / buying of vehicles and other large items from sites such as EBay, GumTree, CraigsList etc? I purchased a car through them a week ago but haven’t received it yet and was able to contact them until Tuesday this week and now... nothing! The phones, live chat and email all not working and I am now seriously worried this was a scam!
Thanks in advance 😬

you have almost certainly been scammed im afraid.

Let me guess, car was ridiculously cheap and contact was by email and payment by bank transfer?

Never heard of them, no info on companies house, no website i can find, they are not partners of eBay / gumtree / etc, did you see the car or just send some money to a bank account?

Was the car exceptionally cheap? If yes then it is a scam and your money is gone and no way of getting it back.

How are people still so thick.

I think you have been scammed, although I have to say they are good...

Just found this post in a MB forum:

https://www.mb-clubs.co.uk/review-forum/bussines-t...

The responses are not well written and they have somehow created fake accounts, click on profile AMGeed (at the bottom of post #2) and it takes you to wivenhoe profile, the same for profile mactech on post #6.

OP, any further details?

i think you will find that the whole forum you have linked to is fake, its very subtle to spot but the fact everyone there recommends them is dodgy to start with but if you look at the url it is forums.mb-clubs.co.uk whereas the genuine site is https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/ There is no S on club.

Very very dodgy!

........and clever, because if you follow to "fake forum" link and then click on forum heading, it then takes you to the genuine MB forum site (without the "s" in the URL) unless you are looking for it, you probably won't spot it.

Google has returned results from foreign lands and a dissolved company. I'd say goodbye to your money. If you bought through eBay then you might have half a chance of recovering some money but I wouldn't bet on it.

Same forum principle as this one...

https://www.bmwccgbforums.co.uk/topic/review/view/...

The real forum is bmwccgbforum.co.uk with no S.

A very elaborate scam

OP, If the site mb-clubs.co.uk is a fake or scammer, since it is a .UK site - tell Nominet and it will be shutdown.

Yeah, they're definite fakes. If you click on any of the username for the mb one it links to completely different users

OP did you use a credit card? I'd try contacting your bank and reporting it too

Sorry to hear about this OP, it may be worth letting Namecheap and Cloudflare know the nature of the site. The site is hosted behind a Cloudflare proxy

Although we are the .uk Registry office we are not a governing body and do not have the ability to cancel domains unless we are told by the correct authority.

We would definitely recommend that you report this issue to the appropriate legal authority:

To report illegal website content, please contact your local police force. You can find information on your local Police Force at http://www.police.uk/forces .
To report financial scams such as 'phishing' or 'fraud' you can contact Action Fraud at http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/.

They obviously know exactly what they’re doing and get a lot of people.
Thanks for your time though 😃

Sorry to hear that, how did you pay, Paypal or bank transfer? Speak to whoever right away, tell them what happened.

Also if something seems to good to be true, it generally is :/
