Something for the weekend Sir Glen?
It's a lovely little car to be fair to it,and if you remember I got it for a song. Still not done 29,000 miles. On a 21 year old car!
I've managed to hook a safety strap for Mavis in the car,so she can come along with us on her mums lap.
She's going to love the wind in her ears! It's a lovely little car to be fair to it,and if you remember I got it for a song. Still not done 29,000 miles. On a 21 year old car!

And so will Mavis.

I've just seen Dicky's reply to my post on Scrump's thread.
High5, Dicky!
That's teamwork, that is!
For a lot of readers it was either a direct hit or it missed by a trillion miles.High5, Dicky!
That's teamwork, that is!
We have to take these risks occasionally.

Well today consisted of pulling the fascia and soffit board off the back of the house.
The Wasp nest killer worked (or so I thought) and I proceeded to remove the nest which was about the size of a rugby ball, AND THEN.......Wasp nest N02 appeared!
Not quite as big, about the size of two tennis balls!
Yellow and black barstards were not happy and neither was I!
3rd blasting of wasp killer applied
Some of the ends of the roof timbers are a bit rotten so cut some new tanalised timber 4x2 ends.

So how is retirement going then?? The Wasp nest killer worked (or so I thought) and I proceeded to remove the nest which was about the size of a rugby ball, AND THEN.......Wasp nest N02 appeared!

TANALISED timber is timber that has been pressure impregnated with the latest TANALITH wood preservative. TANALISED timber has the ultimate long term protection against wood decay and insect attack, wherever the timber is to be used.
My language, I did timber treatment plants at one stage - sodding great tubes to suck the air out and give a big vacuum then let a bit of tanalith or osmolith in and bingo it goes in right up to the makers name. A whole field next door got poisoned and NRA had a err field day etc etc yawn clunk zzzV6 Pushfit said:

I’ve already got something similar on the bedside table
Evenin' all.
I've just been having a bit of a catch up, nothing too dramatic it seemed until I came across this:
Not only will we have the Chief Constable round here like a tramp on hot chips, the Porton Down mob won't be far behind again..."
I then of course realised he meant "Wasp nest number two". Thank The Lord, drama over.
Incidentally, would anyone like to try a drop of this "Reel Summerset Sider"?
Flown in this afternoon from Leipzig, it was. It's an acquired taste, I really wouldn't venture too far from the cludgie if you're planning on having more than half a pint though.

Saw a bloke today who I told yesterday the only way to expose his foundations was to dig 1m deep and when he gets that far go sideways. He’s just showed me a sodding great hole through his garage floor.
Difficult to understand why he didn’t do it in the garden..... I made a polite exit.
