Just been hit by that insane squall line in East Berks as well. Only a few cracks of thunder though. Looking at Blitzorg there is a LOT of lightning just to the North in Bucks / Herts right now.

Thunder in late October, nice.

Pug, any hail in Hayling ?

A quick bout of thunder in south Beds, and a cloud burst about 10 minutes ago.

hehe

Had planned to mooch around Gun Wharf today - but as it's an outdoor shopping centre, we're at home now!

Definitely some high pressure on the horizon - but it may be a fairly short affair. Nevertheless, some cool nights and fog!

Close to you (Winchester) it's still just as bad. No sea spray, though!

Long range forecasts for both CFS and ECM pointing towards a Scandi high during early December (ie cold easterly winds for us...). To be taken with a MASSIVE pinch of salt, but who knows...

wet and windy bad hair day here in DG7.

Wind from South, heavy rain, high tides sounds like a recipe for local flooding

Yes my Suunto cores storm alarm was warning of impending doom.......it was quite a rain storm....seems to have cleared nicely now with a bit of sun and broken cloud.

What website is that picture from? I'm looking for a decent weather app.

Heavily raining in North London, was initially dry this morning.
