30c here.

Still waiting for the heat to fall off a cliff, though the nights are getting colder.

And you've got the wind off the North Sea coming your way.

Brrrrrr

First hint of Brrrrriness when walking the dog this gloriously sunny morning.

Showers, showers, showers, and yet more showers, every day so far this month. I've been trying to do a little job on the rear screen of my car, which requires a dry day, but I've not had one for a solid fortnight. God, I miss having a garage frown

Our little corner of West Berks is protected from 'April showers' (ie from the NW) by the bulk of Wales and the mountains. Haven't seen any of them.

Just been into the garden and it’s a bit squelchy to say the least!!!

I’m not one to moan about the weather and I’m not worried about the temperature, but can we have some dry days please to let everything dry out, that’s not asking for much is it?

Not in Inverness. Today must be the first day without rain for over a week.

Watching the Met office's 10 day trend video, next week looks to be rather wet and windy? Great!

I flew back from LA just a few hours behind the storm. I'll not forget the carnage we saw during the taxi drive from LHW to Highgate in a hurry.

A friend of mine set off to Holland in a yacht just before it hit. He ended up rescued by a ferry and other vessels and towed to Belgium. hehe

I was 16 and had started college in the September waiting for my 17th in November to start learning to drive. So college involved getting on the train.

That night.....

Was woken up by the wind, got up, got dressed and went outside. Thought, blimey it is windy, and very warm. Then went back in and back to bed not having any comprehension of the significance of the event.

In the morning I thought I'd try get into college and I did. The trains were running (Great Western Mainline). Got there, nobody else there so went back home and probably watched MTV (we were lucky enough to have cable tv back in '87)

High of 23c here today. I think we've reached the cliff though, it's started getting cold over night, and next week should see the first freezes.
