I'm following the rules because I see what happens
when the twonks don't.

I wear a mask in shops because that's Hobson's choice.

I was using gloves but I don't bother now. Instead, I make full use
of the supermarkets' disinfectant bottles and hand gel, on the way in and out.

It's no big deal. I see it more as commonsense than anything else.

I have decided that I shall follow the rules as diligently as Dominic Cummings (although I shall pay my council tax as plebs like me would go to jail)...

Hang on a second. The rules relaxed so people went out. Did you also go out?

Yes, but probably not to the letter. We go out loads though, I don't know if we are still meant to "stay at home". I wear my mask frequently and I wash my hands. I admit to being a bit lax with the mask should conditions permit, Tesco was empty the other night, didn't feel the need. I find I get very hot and breathless wearing one.

Seems that if you’re under 25 and/or vote labour, then generally you don’t give a fk about the rules.
Not necessarily i see a lot of older people that fed up that they have also give up.
I've experienced older people playing it to their advantage. I was in a shop one day looking for a birthday card. An elderly lady came and stood right next to me, so being the dutiful citizen I moved two meters away from her, at which point she stood exactly where I had been and looked at the cards that I'd been looking at. Basically the cheeky bugger didn't want to wait and knew I'd move if she stood next to me!

It does make me chuckle when I read on the BBC that couples can't stay at each others houses because it's suddenly illegal laugh

I'd hate to meet the people actually following that direction.

"Sorry love, can't come over tonight Boris said so".

Yes sad for those who have to isolate but we have seen the daughter's brood several times since lockdown eased. Being used as a brake by a five y.o. going full tilt who wants to give you a hug can be a bit painful! However he and his brothers haven't been allowed near his other grandparents since March so perhaps understandable.

We're being sensible, and generally not dicks, but sometimes we go for dinner round my parents house, where there's 7 of us. Whoopsie

Had a baby in April. We visit parents and grandparents almost everyday, luckily most of them are local. No way would I make them and our baby miss out on those important experiences.

What does not much scope to break rules mean?

Yes, absolutely. I’m middle aged & asthmatic, so I have to take this seriously. I’m WFH and trying very hard to dodge the bullet.

Yep.

Have a big house and garden and a young family. So other than not seeing friends over lockdown itself, we haven't really had to change our lifestyle significantly.

Have done most of my shopping online for years, and managed to maintain deliveries throughout.

Am WFH / going in about 50:50, which suits me down to the ground.

Im mot sure if I broke lockdown rules the other day.
I collected my dad from hospital after a knee replacement surgery. We got a taxi back to his and my mums house. I stayed over night to make sure mum and dad could cope with stairs, toilet etc. My mum then gave me a lift back to the train station the next day where I got the train back to my house.
I think I got round the rules due to it be for caring reasons but Im not sure?

It’s OK even in tier 3 - between two households. Issue we have is it’s two sets of grandchildren so three households. I still think it might be OK as I haven’t seen anything which explicitly states we can’t run two support bubbles!

Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. So I'm not having any parties, or taking the p1ss, but keeping strictly to the rules at all times...no.

They're young, so do what young people always have, they're even further away than most by being screwed by a particularly evil cold, they've been thrown to the wolves by the scared older generation (which is completely at odds with all other bits of nature) & the rest of us have given them a healthy final hospital pass.

Their politics or how they feel about certain contentious issues is for once secondary. Learning the true facts of life is primary, as it always has been smile.

The rules really have always been the same: be sensible. The tier 3 rules are: be sensible bearing in mind that infections are high in your area.
That's all the rules are trying to achieve. Unfortunately we share our space with a bunch of people who 'find it very confusing'.

For the most part yea, although I cannot afford for work to be interrupted again so the no mixing in other households goes out the window for me as my mum has to pick my 2 kids from school 3 times a week, and I pick them up from hers. My brotger and sister lost their jobs so they are now back at mums too, and they still see their mates etc.

So there is probably a lot of mixing in amongst all that, but haven't been near any mates houses since, and we are in Bradford so have been under some form of restrictions since March anyways. Have never broke social distancing rules when out and about and outside of my own close family. Don't mind the mask wearing, keeping my distance in queues etc.

Yes, I've only been out of the house on essential occasions since late March. Each time I've secured a 24 hour pass to enable the journey. Those occasions were to the ATM and hospital . I travelled by bike to the local ATM and pick up truck to the local hospital . Strict protocol applied before I could enter the hospital.
Citizens here ( in Negros Oriental ) generally obey the restrictions ,a curfew is in place for the under 18s' and the over 60s' .....the exceptions being kanos who seem to think rules and regulations don't apply to them. All travel by ferry was cancelled and still is to this day , likewise flights. Only cargo by ferry is permitted.
