It is purely political and nothing to do with a 'virus'.
Covid 19 is just a tool to get what the government want....control !!!
Oh fk off. The problem is, for people like me who think Covid is a serious problem but is being handled wrongly, and our personal freedoms have been given up far to easily, my viewpoint get's lumped in with idiots like you. You and your ilk are actually a gift for those who want to exercise too much control, because your idiocy is just laughable and actually strengthens their hand. .
THIS!

Lies, government control, other half witted nonsense. The world's leaders all working together for the greater cause of complete control of the people.

Are people getting dumber, or is it still the same, only the internet is a hub for 'tards to make a louder noise?
Do these same 'tards believe the earth is flat, 9/11 was an inside job, we never landed on the moon?
I take the view that any Government "Never wastes a crisis"

If anything, the blanket acceptance of the way a fking great majority of people have given up basic rights (In some parts of the UK, you cant legally have casual sex now!) without a single shot being fired tells me we didn't need a coup to control us. YOu don't even need much to get mass obedience. They were happy to do what the Gov wanted anyway just to signal their virtue

Couldn’t give a toss about any restrictions or what anyone in Parliament says.

IMO, they’ve taken this pandemic as an opportunity to completely erase ANY (and there was minimal to begin with) remaining credibility and gravitas. They’ve created such a poor image of any ruling party it’s almost funny.

I voted conservative and wouldn’t vote labour, but next election I will just deface the ballot paper - nobody will get my vote.

No chance. I have seen die hard facebook warriors telling people to follow the rules and how they issolated properly. Those same people out at the pub hugging mates, distant family.

You say nothing because it is people you know. Infact I don't think I know a single person who followed the rules to the letter at any point.

From reading this thread I agree. I was asked yet again today to wear a mask in Tesco. This time by a member of the public!?!
I hope you politely complied.
I hope you politely declined.
I don’t have a mask so I had to decline. For a second I thought they were asking for help.

Remembrance Sunday, by all accounts. Take a look at @PoppyWatch on Twitter for some top #remembrancing.

Here we have the type of 'tard I described. The damn gubment, our rights, coup, obedience... how these thick s remember to breath is a miracle, or shame as the rest of the world would be better off if they didn't.

Some Rights currently suspended indefinitely by the Government

"Right to have sex with someone you're not in a relationship with"
"The right to see your parents/friends in their own home" (Depending on Tier level)
"The right to be with a dying relative in their final moments and hold them"
"The right to medical care for things like Chemo and various other procedures. As all resources must be put towards the fight"

And vast swathes of the country are more than happy to comply. And as we've seen are more than happy to tell others how wonderful they are for happily complying.

I know you're a virtue signaller. I just want to know if you understand what the thin end of a wedge looks like

All for a virus that 99.8% of the population survive just fine.

I'll admit I did follow the rules during the first lockdown. Only went to Tescos/Sainsburys to shop. Exercised once a day. Didn't go and meet anybody

Though with hindsight of course that was pointless laugh

Like you, a lot of the people I know bent/broke the rules.

But do the ones following the rules actually really care or believe in them? Personally I don't think they make any difference really, but I will wear a mask in shops etc. I do take it off as soon as I am out of the door though. At the moment it's just not worth the hassle, and at least the days of queuing round the car park to get into the supermarket have gone!

Had my first disagreement with my flatmate last night. Friend is having a rough time with her flatmate and didn't feel comfortable at hers, asked if she could stay at mine for the night. I said yeah sure. She got to mine, we went straight to sleep and then left the next afternoon. So last night flatmate confronts me and gives me the whole "I haven't been able to see my friends/date/have sex for months". I explained that this was not some random girl here for a hookup. Was a close friend who needed a favour. And my flatmate just didn't care. And that really pissed me off.

From my bold it's clear who the fool is. I find it astonishing that people allow themselves to be denied basic human interaction by a set of stupid rules.

She didn't feel comfortable? So where has she gone now?

Because some people are prepared to inconvenience themselves for what they believe to be the greater good.

By all means challenge whether or not those beliefs are well-founded (not that you need any encouragement from me!) but I don't see why people putting their own preferences temporarily to one side should be subject to ridicule.

Some people are doing their best, based on a massively imperfect set of available information, to act in a way which considers the welfare of others.

Some people, manifestly, are not. (For the sake of clarity - not talking about anybody on this thread specifically)

Not seeing loved ones to the detriment of your sanity and health is far beyond inconvenience.

It's pretty clear what I'm talking about seeing as I quoted another post originally.

It can be, agreed.

Some people, however, seem to be unprepared to put themselves out one iota, just on principle.

I don't pretend to know what's going on in their lives, but from the outside looking in it appears perverse, small-minded and selfish.
