"At all"

Seems to be tacked onto the end of many a simple query,

"Do you have any scratch cards at all?"
"Do you do cash back at all?"

What does it mean? confused
Agreed - I remember waiting in a queue at some eatery to be seated, a waiter came down the queue asking "Williams, at all?"

She'd rather no go at all
I don't mind at all

Cambridge dictionary is worth a read if unsure

It's the words being used in an inappropriate or superfluous context that is the issue.

The "C" word.
"Community"
Most miss used and divisive term. And really annoying being used endlessly.

I might be due a parrot but you sure it wasn't "Et al" meaning "and others"?

I'm pretty sure the scratch card buyers aren't dropping Latin into the conversation!

Yes, do they get paid, are they elected. Reminds me of the 4X4 Response gang....

As opposed to what?
Actively choosing and deciding on activities and lifestyle - making choices, planning and achieving them.
Rather than drifting through life day by day
“Living their best life”.

Drifting through life day by day taking it as it comes and enjoying the moment.
Rather than frenetically organising, doing, moving planning to do ‘things”
“Living their best life”

Means that you are living the life that you will most enjoy. Hope that might help. smile

Not keen on the expression "living their best life" as it screams Insta / FB look at me nonsense but I do agree with the sentiment.

Friend of a friend died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. She was 37 with two young kids, 1 and 7. Carpe Diem as you're not here for long, make the most of your time.

As in:

"Sure. Here is a mug of Mellow Birds. That will be just 38 pounds."

Back In The Day

Watching the Goodwood live feed and every other sentence they are saying it. Just say what year it raced, was used whatever, just stop saying that.
