Staggering amount of people have died at these events in the states... madness.

Gender-reveal device explosion kills father-to-be and Two People Died in a Terrifying Gender-Reveal Stunt are just two examples that immediately spring to mind.

Wtf? Who would be THAT interested if its a boy or a girl?!

Gender reveal. Seriously?

When I was younger i remember people used fo pierce their babies ears, probably the same babies who have now grown up to hold such parties.

Yes 100 percent the ear piercers. The same children who are given gold Cuban bracelets from birth

How can you tell someone’s gender before they’re born?
Don’t you have to wait until they’re able to tell you how they choose to define themselves?
It’s a bit of a gamble if you’re spending upwards of £5 in B&M.

^^^I remember taking my eldest to Sicily and they kept calling her “he” as we didn’t pierce her ears when she was born.

Painting around things rather than removing things, e.g., when painting a door not removing the door handles, knocker, letter box etc. Council.

Exactly that, minimum effort wherever possible, even if the extra effort in a minute or two

The Essex side of my family had a GR party during the first lockdown. My sister was the only one who knew the sex of the baby in the mother. She then had to bake a cake with a pink or blue filling. One of the party had covid and they all ended up with covid. So glad i moved down west 40+ years ago. rolleyes

Yep totally agree! I've just had my first child on Saturday, we got the scan and told people as they asked.

Mate of mine, nice lad but got involved with a girl who has blown up lips etc, did a gender reveal party I didn't go, now been invited to their kids christening, wont be going to that either haha.

Blasting one's horn when departing a house as if to say 'goodbye', whilst you are looking at the person and waving goodbye. Utterly common and unnecessary.

Not at all, I'm pretty sure they are just doing it for the party and the look at me factor again.

Perhaps for the things you always wanted to know thread, but why do fat birds always go for skinny blokes and vice versa?

Mate years ago was 10st soaking wet and his girlfriend at least double. And he worked with a chap who bought specialist jazz mags full of the fuller figured lady.

It was in the 90’s with the bbc “ changing rooms” programmes that we really started to see wide spread damage to houses

Literally painting over everything: light switches, sockets, upvc cills. Cladding everything

It’s worse now we have the likes of a B and M and everything is so cheap. Everything is mirrored, covered in stick on plastic, like a weird til tok media backdrop of chaos. Artificial grass is cover up of all evils.
