I was thinking that the vans this dealer had were all nearly new, but perhaps they've also facelifted them too. Will take a closer look next time I drive past.

This is more a sign of the times I suppose..

But I was in ASDA about an hour ago getting some things for dinner. Noticed there were some 8-9 people all crowded around the shelf where they put the reduce to clear stuff. Not sure what they was doing as there was already pllenty of things on the shelf (which they didn't seem to be taking).

I can only assume they were waiting for more stuff to be added, or maybe waiting for the items already there to be reduced even further by the person there? Not sure. I was in asda for around 20minutes, during the time they hadn't budged.

I think there's a defined time when the meat gets pulled out at repriced for RtC...

That is ridiculous. When I used to work in retail security, you'd always see the same faces come in last thing to check out the bargains. If there was none, they would leave empty handed until the following day. Probably cost more in petrol than the savings by the end of the week.

I sometimes go shopping on the way home from work at a Morissons in a reasonable area. It's on my way so utterly convenient, and I usually pass about 7.30pm which co-incides with yellow sticker time. As it's not very council in there, I can nicely browse the plentiful reduced items without being barged over by ravening hordes. All very civilised.
The Tesco next to work is as described above.
Morissons = Council?

Got to admit - that’s my middle sister. She’s very “frugal”. She went on holiday once with my youngest sister and they spent the week absolutely roasting in the hire car because AC uses more petrol.

They'd have saved much more by omitting the holiday!

I don't think that Morrisons is council. At least not when I'm shopping there.

I agree. With reservations. Must run, it's a lovely day here and there's a sofa that needs shifting to the front garden.

And if he’s driving at that point, no belt on either. Honestly Bradford ( probably like many places) has lots of promising young lawyers thrashing the nuts of quad bikes. Occasionally a tree helps them out with winning a Darwin Award. Or a parked car.

they did that for a while here but the staff still got abused so they take it away and bring it hack now.

its like a scene from an ethiopian famine where they are fighting over the last rice. they are often acting like savages fighting over reduced crap. literally people running to grab stuff, people pushing and shoving. i know we have some poor people but are there really people starving to death here that need to fight like animals out or desperation? i really suspect not, just people acting like savages because they can.
