Had two houses with south facing gardens, both were unbearable in the afternoon, I'd go for West now as evening is when you're mostly outside.
Unless the garden is big enough of course

The amount of 50 zones spanning the length of the M1 currently. Awful
Yep. The M1 has been emasculated, it takes an age to gett anywhere. Pathetic and backwards. Specs and HADECS all the way.

Particularly annoying one, on the M1 northbound last weekend and the bits around Sheffield. The 50 zone roadworks had ended, only for the next overheard gantry to be showing 50 to hold people back.
I travel on the M1 between Sheffield and Derby quite regularly. Last time it was 50mph on the whole of the M1 due to roadworks.popeyewhite said:

The Advanced Driving thread on here , some of the questions asked are so fking dumb the OPs should be parking their vehicles and throwing away the keys , doing the rest of us lowly drivers a huge favor . I now avoid dipping into there the same way I do with NP&E
Yeah some of it is embarrassingly un-advanced, yet no one goes 'WTF?', just some ridiculously deadpan replies.Countdown said:

People unable to judge the width of their car.
Particularly oafish and overweight hags in Range Rover Evokes as they collect their malodourous crotch goblins from school.
Or they do know the width, but the purchase of their aspirational Family Fortress, has made them invincible............until they scrape it down the side!!Particularly oafish and overweight hags in Range Rover Evokes as they collect their malodourous crotch goblins from school.
The pain of helping my mum fill out an application form last night. The form that must be filled out immediately makes an appearance at 11pm just as I am about to leave. Clearly there was no time in the previous five hours I'd been there was more suitable.
A two minute job becomes twenty because firstly she will not stop talking long enough for me to read more than two words at a time. Secondly because a simple question about her income is answered by "why do they want to know that?" "It's probably so they can tax me more blah blah blah..."

I always thought it was for inexperienced drivers to ask the advanced driving experts for advice, so yes some questions will be dumb.MIL who has decided not to open her letters (apart from bills) for the past 15-20 years, with no idea what is really going on with her accounts, and now we are in a scramble to sort it all out, and her nonchalant attitude to it all because she has no idea what she has.
"what is this one?"
"oh that is just some old stocks, there isn't much in there so I don't bother checking anymore."
"Oh is there? I don't check"
"who else have you got accounts with?"
"I don't know, Blackrock, HSBC, and a few others"
"There is like £500k here in just these few investments, this needs to be handled properly and put into trust or something"
"Yeah, but not at the moment, just leave them"
"No, because you have an overdue bill here for gas and electric"
"I have paid that"
"yes, now you have, but there are letters here for everything, there is unclaimed stocks and share portfolios, what's this, from NHS, you missed an appointment 6 months ago"
"Oh, I didn't know I had that"
"Because you didn't open it!"
If anyone needs me I will be in the classifieds
