Oil boiler just replaced with new oil combi, bit of plumbing involved to get rid of water tank and gravity fed system, 1 new radiator installed, bit of VAT on top and a bill for £6 grand.

People who ignore social distancing markers and stand right behind you at a checkout trying to squeeze their shopping on the conveyor behind your shopping muttering under their breath about why you won't move up behind the person in front of you despite the fact you're observing the social distancing markers, wkers!
FFS, it's 2021, I feel we can dispense with the distancing nonsense if we are all wearing masks and one jab up.

You get the feeling some PH jobsworths would love these restrictions to continue forever.

My local bakery is two customers at a time. It's popular so there is often a queue on Saturday morning. Everyone plays by the rules but some complete fkwits stand literally in the door whilst waiting their turn, so to leave (and thus let them in!!) I have to squeeze past. It would be dumb at the best of times.

But what is really annoying is those who order coffee. This takes absolutely ages. I'm in an out within a minute. 3 coffees takes 5.

Id be dumping the mobile network first (or having the setting activated to allow premium rate messaging) ... for clarity though I use Barclays and have had these messages, they arent a premium rate response, just a short code - I dont even think there is any cost to replying to them other than a standard message cost?! happy to be corrected though(!)
Yep, exactly what I said above. It’s the mobile provider that’s the problem, not Barclays.
FWIW I'm with Plusnet Mobile, who don't support SMS short codes. I assume that's typical for the cheap virtual Telcos as it saves them money. However I have no problem replying y/n to confirmation texts from NatWest, so it's the combination of the bank and the mobile network that needs to be right.

I accidentally pushed in at my local bakers the other week. Social distancing goes right out the window when people want to tell you , you gave queue jumped!

People who can't make if from home to the shops/the gym/the office without stopping to buy a fking coffee on the way.

Addiction is a problem, and the rest of us feel sorry for you. But you are still annoying beyond reason.

I have one chap who lives close enough to walk to the office. He goes almost half a mile out of his way (and almost half a mile back again) to buy a Costa on the way. I spend around £50 a week on fresh coffee for the machine in the office to accomodate my staff.

There are lots of discussions on here about how good/bad Costa, Starbucks, Nero and so on are, but it's alll rubbish, sold at a huge margin to people who, fifteen years ago, would have managed /did manage perectly well without needing a coffe to help them through the next, and every, hour of their day.

It annoys me because I don't like seeing sheep being exploited.

Stopping and giving way for them to stop and give way when theyve clearly seen me. Its worse when they drive at you then do it. I was once giving way to a car so I didnt just cut across it getting on my drive so flashed for it to drive by and it pulled in between the cars on the road blocking my drive to let me go like what even is the point.

Similarly, not being able to use fingerprint log in for various sites and apps if I've not logged in for a few weeks, there appears to be an expiry and I have to log in the old way, and jump through similar hoops.

The special place in hell is saved for people who turn up late to a meeting... but with a take-out coffee.

A girl in our office used to that. Turn up late with a coffee and a sandwich. Her theory was she was running late anyway so a few more minutes wouldn't make a difference.

So it annoys you that he goes for a 20 minute walk and has a coffee?

Bit of an odd thing to get annoyed about.

Are we still doing this?
