iPhone 12 mini. Should’ve know it was a bad buy when it took me a bloody eon to sync my data across and then equally the pig of a job it was to back up to my Mac. Then none of the apps carried across any of the data. And I just don’t like it, screen seems too long, no battery percentage in the top corner (unless you drag the screen down), and I can’t get used to how you close down apps.
I’m typing this on my iPhone 7 whilst I decide what to do with the sodding thing.
Wife is having the same problem, she went from an old iPhone SE to iPhone 11. She has gone back to the SE, the 11 is too heavy, no battery percentage, can't close apps and worst of all candy crush doesn't work the same!! It's a paperweight on top of the microwave at the moment.I’m typing this on my iPhone 7 whilst I decide what to do with the sodding thing.

Le Creuset frying pans. Non stick coating coming off quite badly after only a couple years of use.
Suspect user error? Need to be completely anal about not using metal, only wood / plastic implements.Given their rep (and cost), I was v surprised tbh.

FWIW, i read J4CKO's comment as referring to the area you live in being a warren for psycos, rather than referring to you yourself.
both lol. stoke is a mess its addict city, loads of suicides - campainers demanding cages and nets on a lot of the city bridges, social services dumping ground, st loads of unemployment, teen pregnancy everywhere. loads of st hole estates but no real nice areas.austinsmirk said:
Although retired, Zigurtis: a former paratrooper and ex french foreign legion is one of those men who is “hard”. Just has that presence. Forget your tattoo’d gym bunnies puffing their chests out: he’d just destroy you and keep going.
I let him have carte Blanche to deal with any little scrotes causing bother anywhere. Being ex military you should have seen how clean all the communal spaces were in and around the flats.
Lovely chap. His knees are a bit done for now with all the jumping out of stuff though.
im not a hard man so if i came across scum who knew how to fight, like a , i might get a kicking if theres more than one. most chav scum are cowards though so i do all right. knock down the gobby one and their balls shrink to nothing. these days more seem to carry a knife and try and shank you with it. gives them false bravado. the city centre here is almost a no go zone now. couple years back i was shopping and went to maccys. being a sunny day sat on some stone bench thing munching my food and a group of scum with one main gobby tt (theres always one in thier gangs) were giving me abuse for being a fat and how i should be eating a salad etc. i could have just done the weak thing snd kept my head down or walked off but why should i? so i deliberately ate nice and slowly making it look like i was enjiying some gourmet meal. the gobby one went mental and comes iver shouting stuff like "who the fk do you think you are" etc and when i laughed at him he proceeds to head butt me but missing clipping my chin. i lost it a bit and kneed him in the bks while pressing his head down and doing a swift elbow to the back of his neck which put him on the floor. he walked off shouting st and a couple of people called the cops who must have been close. i had a slightly cut lip where his head banged my lip into my teeth. the chav scum ran off soon as they heard sirens.
thwt sort of st goes on all the time. the alley to the car park by said maccys has had to be gated off because of yobs cutting through to terrorise people and lots of muggings and kickings in said alley. cops said the guy was well known and causes triuble all the time. scum like that need taking out.
Last rally car I owned: Ford Fiesta ST group N. Bought as I had the money and fancied a go at driving again a couple of years after selling my 205 and only co-driving in between. Spent a bit tidying it up, then put it off the road on the first event I did in it. Got it repaired then 2nd gear went noisy. Cut my losses after that.
Bought an Samsung S10 after my old S7 broke. While waiting for it to arrive went to Argos and got a £100 Motorola to keep me going. When it turned up the battery life in the S10 was terrible and I was worried about losing or breaking it. It's sat in a drawer ever since while the cheap and cheerful Motorola has a battery which will last for days and I'm not at all worried about dropping it.
Camera is crap in the cheap phone though, that's about the only time I miss the more expensive one.

Disappointed that I missed your original thread: ours was ten years old at that point - it's still making great toast seven days a week now.IroningMan said:

I have to keep taking the bread out during the toasting process and swapping the slices between slots in order to get consistently toasted bread. It's too expensive to throw away but I wish it could break so I could replace it with a £20 which would do a better job.

I spent £450 for a "design your own" suit from Moss bros Navy with a very subtle gold grid pattern and a double-breasted waistcoat (It was a lot of money for me, we can't all be company directors!)
In of itself it looks great, but it's too formal for everyday casual wear, I don't have any ties or shirts that match it, and brass buttons mean I can't wear it to work or college without looking like a pillock. I only ever got to wear it once on a night out and I kept my coat on most of the night because it was the middle of December.
Now I'm too fat to fit in it.
Ahhaha that made me laugh. Basically just set fire to 450 quid. The socks one made me laugh too as I googled them after the inside the factory programme, but then luckily I forgot about it.In of itself it looks great, but it's too formal for everyday casual wear, I don't have any ties or shirts that match it, and brass buttons mean I can't wear it to work or college without looking like a pillock. I notice there’s a lot of beemers on here and I can add to it. I bought a gs650 Dakar (motorcycle). Calling it a turd would be giving st a bad name. I sold it immediately, but for more than I paid at least. Made me realise that all these dheads on forums don’t know fk all. Just parrot what they think is meant to be good.

Just remembered another one. I had a Lotus Evora which was stunning but online I'd seen an exhaust that sounded awesome in the US so I took my car to a specialist to have them make one up. On the way I followed Mrs 111R who was driving it and remember listening to it and thinking 'That sounds pretty good as it is, it's probably the soundproofing that makes me think it's not very loud.'
The design was effectively a straight and very short pipe so....
I went to pick it up and they started the car and I thought, instantly, 'That's coming off!'. It was SO loud. To save face I said it was great. They said the only thing louder had been a decatted Diablo. When they ran it up the trading estate to test it EVERYONE came out!
Driving to work in the morning was misery and a few weeks later it swapped it back. Goodbye £550!

A mint Roland Jupiter 8 synth. I'd wanted one for years, they look & sound gorgeous. £6500. But, hailing from the early 80s, they are nigh on impossible to use with modern sequencing software unless you hack them around and retro-fit them with MIDI, which I wasn't prepared to do. Ultimately I spent more time noodling on it, recreating classic 80s synth sounds and riffs and not using it productively. It was wasted on me, so sold it 6 months later for exactly the same money.
