Plenty of indications that we'll be in the 30s by mid-June.
I really, really hope not!The humidity today is horrible, feels like sitting in one of those new fangled washing machines that can do a 20c wash. Probably less humid in the washing machine.

Same, quite predictably I really, really hope not as well.

I appreciate its subjective but am still surprised by this comment! I am in South Hants and wearing a hoodie today. The humidity today is horrible, feels like sitting in one of those new fangled washing machines that can do a 20c wash. Probably less humid in the washing machine.

I used to live in Bermuda and that was the worst thing about living there, the humidity. In summer it would be 30+C with 90% humidity. You would leave the office for lunch and within 100 yds be sweating buckets. The humidity today is horrible, feels like sitting in one of those new fangled washing machines that can do a 20c wash. This weather is lovely which is a large part of why we moved back, it's definitely in goldilocks territory.

I had something similar when in the Seychelles. 36 degrees and 90% humidity. I love it (just as an experience) but I am sure it would grow tiresome when one has to live in it all year round. This weather is lovely which is a large part of why we moved back, it's definitely in goldilocks territory.
Heat incoming... As mentioned before, we stand a good chance of breaking 30 this weekend.

I think there is a good chance of this, mainly because on the MetOffice 10 day Youtube forecast they mentioned that since records began the 13th June had never recorded a temperature of 30C or higher so they knew as of last Wednesday there was a good chance https://twitter.com/MetMattTaylor/status/140188192...

I know a lot of it is guesswork this far out but I don't suppose anyone has a model to predict what it'll be like in Cornwall at the back end of the month (W/C 28th June) do they please?

At the moment the consensus is on an unsettled period for the 2nd half of June - but there is a lot of variability. Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
