Where is everybody?

Anyone could easily be mistaken for thinking as it has got a bit chilly, people have gone back to the winter thread!

A bit of a nip is all part and parcel of British Summer Time.

Below, a random picture of snow in June 1989 with a rather nice MK1 GTI in it as a bonus.

That’s hail, I think.

We had something similar in 1980 also in West Kent, in June, that lead to lots of localised flooding. Following year random tomato plants sprang up in front gardens where the drains had backed up.

Walked through sleet this morning, now basking in bright sunshine. Typical British summer.

I'd hate to jinx it, but it sounds like it might just be the best summer ever if early indications persist.

Enjoyment of the extra light whilst not having to endure blast furnace temps would be nice. No higher than 25c for the whole summer would be perfect. I know that areas where some Northern folk live struggle to get to 25c, they just don't know how lucky they really are.

Thanks for your concern Colin, but we know we are lucky to live in the North. biggrin
Having said that, it’s currently 2 degrees and snowing horizontally.... hehe

Hey - remember this thread?

Positive signs for the cold to disappear by next weekend and high pressure to be nearby. This weekend will see a reload of the colder stuff.
